Hennessy Boxing: Tyson Fury Vs Marcelo Luiz Nascimento

Manchester’s heavyweight sensation Tyson Fury will be taking on another undefeated knockout specialist in 6 ft 5 inch Brazilian Marcelo Luiz Nascimento (Subject to medical approval by the BBBofC) in a 10 round “International Special attraction fight” at Wembley Arena on Saturday 19th February.

The event is being promoted by Hennessy Sports and will be shown live and exclusive on Premier Sport TV, sky channel 433.

After the fight with Francois Botha was knocked back by the BBBofC, Fury did not hesitate in accepting “the Hammer”, who’s record is 13 – 0 with 11ko’s. Similar to Fury’s record which is 13 – 0 with 9ko’s.

“It angers me when you see so called heavyweight prospects keep having bums put in front of them every time. I don’t want to go through my career like that, I want to show them how it’s done, so I’m taking on this guy who has an unbeaten record and is a massive puncher, this is what you have to do to become a star.” said Fury.

The great night of Championship boxing at Wembley Arena will also have two British title fights, the first title fight of the night will see Morden’s Lenny Daws looking to defend his British Light Welterweight title for a 3rd time and secure the Lonsdale belt outright when he squares up against Paddington’s Ashley Theophane.

The second British title up for grabs on the night will be for the welterweight crown, this will be contested between Shepherd’s Bush resident John O’Donnell and Craig Watson of Manchester. These two last meet back in April 2009 and produced 12 rounds of exciting boxing in which O’Donnell was crowned the new Commonwealth champion.

To add spice to this already great event, Colchester’s Commonwealth title challenger Lee “Lights Out” Purdy will be in back in action defending his Southern Area title against former British title challenger Michael Lomax of Chingford.

Joining these fighters at Wembley will be a host of talented young boxers including Haddenham’s Tornado Tyler Goodjohn, Islington’s John “Gorilla” Ryder and Brothers Chris and Andreas Evangelou of Enfield.

All of the action will be shown live and exclusive on Premier Sports TV Sky channel 433.

Premier Sports will also be shown live and exclusive coverage from the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Canada, where former WBC Junior Welterweight champion, Junior “The Hitter” Witter, from Sheffield, is making his welterweight debut against Romanian-born Torontonian Victor Lupo.

Premier Sports TV broadcast monthly boxing from around the globe for the great value price of just £6.99 per month.
