As part of the buildup for two separate installments of Showtime Championship Boxing, two of the principal fighters, Sergei Liakhovich and Joel Casamayor will hold open workouts for the media this week at two popular local boxing gyms.
Headliner of the Don King Productions bill at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on 4 November, WBO Heavyweight Champion Liakhovich, 23-1 (14), who defends his belt against ex-world title challenger Shannon Briggs, 47-4-1 (41), is scheduled to workout for the media in attendance on Tuesday, 12 September.
Former world titlist Casamayor, 33-3-1 (21), who challenges WBC Lightweight Champion Diego Corrales for the third time on a Gary Shaw promotion on 7 October at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, is set to workout on Wednesday, 13 September.
