NABF Female lightweight champion, Jessica "Ragin" Rakoczy, 28-3 (10), is set to clash with Cindy "Checkmate" Serrano, 15-2-1 (7), in an eight round bout at the Tachi Palace Casino on April 17, 2008.
In her last bout, Rakoczy won a unanimous decision over Belinda Laracente while recapturing the NABF title. Both fighters are looking to get back in contention for a world title with a win.
When asked about her upcoming fight with Serrano, Rakoczy stated, "This is a big fight for me. I feel with a victory I can get a shot at the lightweight title. Serrano is a tough fighter and I will have to be at my best to beat her. I've been training hard for this fight and I feel confident that I will come out victorious."
