Default Pac having blood taken 20 days before the Clottey fight..

Manny Pacquiao undergoes physical exam - Video - GMANews.TV - Official Website of GMA News and Public Affairs - Latest Philippine News

    WTF??

Pac has blood taken 20 days out which also says it tests for PED'S?? But won't 14 days out?? Pac stated that he wanted a 24 day cut off or the blood test makes him weak hahaha but has one 20 days out before his next fight, now I have supported Pac in recent times over this Floyd fight but this is a joke.

Im pretty sure manny was more open minded to this because Clottey didn't come out accusing him of being juiced from the start. But who knows...Maybe manny did just puss out on floyd.

It was the "Mayweather" aspect that really soured the taste in the PAC Camp. There were a lot of different reasons floating around on why PAC wouldn't take the tests, but i think it really boils down to one.. The Mayweather camp. EGO(Camp) VS EGO(Camp)

MONEY HAS NO BEARING ON THE FIGHTS DRUG TESTING DECISIONS!!!

I'm so sick of hearing, "if it were me and there was 40 million dollars on the table i would sell my soul to get the fight" (exaggerating of course).

If you are already a multi-millionaire and you can get millions using multiple different avenues, does a "big money" fight matter nearly as much to you as it does to an up and coming fighter or a fighter who hasn't had his big break, let alone a poster on a freaking boxing forum. I highly doubt it...

Who gives a sh!t about a 40 Million dollar payday when you don't need the money?!?!

What a load of bullshit, sorry I have been in Pac's corner for this for most part, but this takes the piss, he has blatantly LIED.

He and his team proclaimed that he needed 24 days minimum to recover from a blood test or it would weaken him, now he has his blood taken 20 days prior to his fight with Clottey.

Who gives a fuck about ego's?? This is the biggest fight in the last 20 years or so, end of the day Pac made his own rules up with the weight issue and the compensation if weight wasn't made, and Floyd wanted random drug testing. Now Pac came back with a compromise which I thought was fair enough and some of the excuses was him feeling weak etc etc so soon to the fight, but this has just shown him up big time.

I still sit quietly and hope the fight does happen though... I would feel like i missed out on something special in my lifetime no matter what the outcome...

Maybe that is the core reason why some people on here are so bitter about these two fighters, whether you blame one or the other is irrelevant. True boxing fans come off feeling a bit short changed... But the flip side to that is a year or two ago no one ever thought these two would've fought in the first place. So i'm trying to hold onto no harm no foul, but its not easy...

This really shows that Pac never wanted the fight with Floyd. I hope it will happen, but i highly doubt it.

Exactly, Manny is full of shit.

He's making a song and dance, "ooh look at me I am being tested 20 days out see!". It means nothing, testing needs to be random or nothing. Seems like a bullshit PR move to me, but we can all see through it. He won't fight Mayweather because of random testing, so being checked 20 days out against Clottey has little relevance.

Anyone making excuses for Manny is deluded IMO, all this talk of ego and not being dictated to are really lame excuses, as were the excuses about being afraid of blood tests. Manny's stock has fallen horribly and I just have to laugh when I hear the guy mentioned in threads like this because it is all so pathetic and lame.

CFH is right. Why do people have to keep ressurecting this issue?

A thread is started based on a link that isn't even in the English language and posters come out here disparaging Manny. Do you people even understand what is being said or did you just made the comments based on the title?

They talked about the blood test being REQUIRED of all professional boxers, and about it being obvious that Manny is not comfortable with the test. Manny explained in there why it's hard to have blood test taken near the fight, that he need strength, that if blood is taken it will weaken him and that it will take him 3 - 4 days to recover. He said it's okey to undergo the blood test as long as it's not near the fight date.

The "weaken me" excuse is absurd as anyone who has taken a blood test will tell you. A 14 day window was plenty of time before the fight too and Manny turned it down and here he is once again giving blood, but this time 20 days out. The guy is full of crap. Nothing he says ever seems to add up. Politics might well be the job for him.

These test don't test for PEDs and they're scheduled not random anyway. As far as getting blood goes I read that the Brazilian MMA champ Silva (?) gets a blood sample taken at the end of every sparring round when he's building up to a fight to check his lactic acid levels, which puts Pacneedle's refusal in perspective. And before all the testing thing blew up it would have been more like $60 million each, not $40 million. If they'd done 3 million PPVs at sixty dollars a pop that would have been $45 million each just from the PPV money without the gate, site fee, British PPV, foreign TV, sponsorship etc.
