    Lee Selby will defend his Commonwealth featherweight title against unbeaten Australian champion Corey McConnell on April 20 at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, in ‘The New Life of Brian’, live on Sky Sports.

    McConnell (11-0-1) took the Aussie belt with a points win over Ernie Gonzales Jr. in October and will be Selby’s first opponent under his new promoter Eddie Hearn. (more…)

  • Bellew vs. Chilemba Rematch Added To Froch vs. Kessler Show

    Tony Bellew and Isaac Chilemba will fight again in an official final eliminator for the WBC light heavyweight title on the sold-out Carl Froch vs. Mikkel Kessler bill “Warriors’ Call” at the O2 Arena in London, live on Sky Box Office on May 25.

    The pair clashed at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on March 30 with the contest ending in a draw, and now Bellew says he intends to grab his second chance with both hands. (more…)

  • Belgian Based Contender Fegatilli All Set For An Active 2013

    On Friday March 29, Ermano Fegatilli (27-5-0 5 KO’s) needed to make a statement, and boy did he deliver with a lopsided eight round thrashing of French veteran Karim Chakim (25-9-0 11 KO’s) at the Topsporthal in Liege, Belgium.

    Chakim lied on the retreat from the opening bell, eating Ermano’s sharply angled punches at will. After the final bell went off, Chakim looked a defeated man, unable to land any substantial blows on the actively adjusting Fegatilli. (more…)

  • Byrne Warns Morris Ahead Of April 27 London Clash

    On Saturday, 27 April at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London, former Australian Light Welterweight Champion, Dean Irish Lightning Byrne, is set to challenge for his first domestic title, when he faces Jay IOW Assassin Morris for the vacant International Masters Welterweight crown on the Dave Murphy promoted Thunder & Lightning event.

  • WBA MIddleweight King Golovkin Named Fighter Of Month

    For the second time in three months middleweight world champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin has been named the WBA’s Fighter of the Month, following his impressive third round knockout of former world titleholder Nobuhiro Ishida on Saturday, March 30 in Monaco.

    The stoppage was the seventh defense of the WBA Middleweight Title by Golovkin and was broadcast live in over sixty countries from the Salle des Etoiles. Many VIP guests were in attendance at this exclusive event, including Marvin Hagler, Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco. (more…)
