  • Froch Joins Saving Lives Avengers In London Campaign

    Carl Froch has joined Premiership footballers and London 2012 athletes to appear in an HIV awareness campaign launching this month in East London.

    The Saving Lives Avengers will feature in posters and leaflets across The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel to promote an innovative offering of routine HIV testing to all patients having blood tests taken in the emergency department. The campaign is a collaboration between Barts Health NHS Trust and Saving Lives, a national HIV awareness charity which enjoys the support of many sporting stars. (more…)

    This Thursday, there will be a special ribbon cutting ceremony in conjunction of the opening of the state of the art McGirt Training Facility in Nutley, NJ.

    The beautiful new building will also house the offices of Greg Cohen Promotions, GH3 Promotions & Ediroc Fight Factory.
    The ceremony will begin at 10 am and there will be members of the boxing industry and community leaders present.

  • Jackson, Taihia Rematch For Oceania Super Middle Belt

    Local rivals Gunnar Jackson (15-3-3, 5 KOs) and Adrian Taihia (8-1-2, 4 KOs) are set to clash for the vacant World Boxing Federation Oceania Super Middleweight title on April 5 at the ABA Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.

    The match-up is a highly anticipated rematch of their October 2012 encounter, which ended in a ten-round draw at the same venue, and is appropriately dubbed “Unfinished Business” by promoter Craig Thompson, who is reporting that the event is close to a sell-out. (more…)

    A keen spectator at Liverpool’s Echo Arena last Saturday was Yorkshire-based promoter, Dave Coldwell, who was in attendance to oversee the progress of two of his booming stable as Chris Metcalf and Derry Mathews were in action.

    Sergey Rabchenko’s performance in Monaco on Saturday night received a Royal seal of approval.
    The undefeated European and WBC silver light-middleweight champ wiped out Adriano Nicchi inside two rounds in front of a clearly impressed Prince Albert II at the wonderful Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo.

  • MGM Announces Mayweather vs. Guerrero Closed Circuit List

    It’s about to get a lot easier for boxing fans in Sin City to catch one of the year’s biggest nights of boxing during Cinco de Mayo weekend.

    Mayweather Promotions, Golden Boy Promotions and MGM Resorts International announced today that five MGM Resorts properties will host live closed circuit telecasts of “May Day: Mayweather vs. Guerrero,” the Saturday, May 4 mega-fight between Eight-Time and Five-Division Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Six-Time and Four-Division World Champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
