    Heavyweight contender Manuel Charr is calling out former world champion David Haye again. “I heard that Haye is still looking for an opponent for his next fight. There’s no need to look any further.

    Professional boxing manager A.J. Galante, founder and President of Elite Boxing Enterprises, is excited to announce the signing of fast rising Junior Middleweight prospect Frank ‘Notorious’ Galarza.

    With very little amateur experience, Galarza captured the 2010 New York Golden Gloves in the 165 pound novice division. Six months after the Golden Gloves, Galarza turned pro and since then has compiled a record of 9(5)-0-1. (more…)

  • Haskins Predicts Ward British Title Thriller In Bristol

    For the first time in fifteen years Bristol will play host to a British title fight as Lee Haskins the hometown hero challenges Martin Ward on Saturday 27 April. Promoter Chris Sanigar has fought tooth and nail to secure his man home advantage at the City Academy, Bristol.

    Lee Haskins is hoping to bounce back from his epic struggle against Stephane Jamoye when he lost his European title back in December. Haskins is still rated at number 1 by the European Boxing Union (EBU) with Ward rated #3. As well as the prestigious Lonsdale belt on the line, the winner will be on course for a European title shot.     5th April sees the debut of exciting heavyweight AJ Carter – aka ‘Mr Carter’ – on Goodwin Promotions’ Eurosport-televised show billed as ‘It’s Banjo Time’ at Grays, Essex.

    Carter takes on the experienced Paul Morris over four three-minute rounds. 25 year-old Carter has been described as a “mini Mike Tyson” by manager Derek Williams who has signed a promotional deal with Steve Goodwin for his heavyweight protégé. (more…)

    Former two-weight World king Buddy McGirt says that Tony Bellew could crumble under the pressure of the hometown crowd when he faces Isaac Chilemba on Saturday night, March 30, in an official final eliminator for the WBC light heavyweight title in ‘No Retreat, No Surrender’ at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, live on Sky Sports.

    McGirt, who leads Chilemba into his second fight as his trainer, believes his 25 year old Malawian danger man will rise to the occasion on Merseyside and that the 29 year old Scouser will find it hard to deal with the expectation on him in front of a passionate Liverpool crowd. (more…)

    Trainer Joe Gallagher believes Anthony Crolla can shock Merseyside this weekend.

    The Mancunian lightweight meets Derry Mathews at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Saturday, in what is a rematch of last year’s domestic fight of the year.

    And Gallagher believes his charge will not only gain revenge but will also leave the 11,000 capacity venue silenced.

  • Guerrero Finishes East Coast Media Tour In New York

    It’s been a couple of hectic but satisfying and productive days for Robert Guerrero, who along with his wife, Casey, appeared on “The 700 Club” with Pat Robertson and Terry Meeuwsen on Monday in Virginia Beach, Va., met Robin Roberts on the set of “Good Morning America” in New York City on Tuesday and then later in the morning were joined by Executive Vice President and General Manager of Showtime Sports, Stephen Espinoza for an “invite-only” media brunch at Vanderbilt Suites in The MetLife Building in Midtown Manhattan.

    During Tuesday’s brunch, which was emceed by Golden Boy Promotions Chief Operating Officer, David Itskowitch, Guerrero, who turns 30 on Wednesday, was presented with a birthday cake. (more…)
