FLOYD MAYWEATHER PFP#1 again baby.. I dont want to hear the size bullshit baby, Pac weighed more for there fights at 130...

To me it was the defense and footwork and skill on a level this generation hasnt seen. Marquez was wiped out didnt win a second of a round.

Agreed. Mayweather is number 2 (like P4P lists mean jack shit) until he beats a more viable opponent. That being said, I do think he beats Mosley/Pacquiao or whoever else he fights next.

Cotto - Pac is a much more competitive and important fight than Mayweather - Marquez, though PBF was extremely impressive in his victory tonight.

floyd could beat PAC, cotto, and Ali on the same night with one arm and people would say "oh yes ....but he's ducking mosley. Floyd must fight for other things cause credit he'll never get. Shame

What does that have to do with anything? Pac did not become the consensus P4P #1 based on that fight. Both fights were impressive victories, but Mayweather, in some respects, did what was expected; Pacquiao was expected to lose to ODH. Mayweather fought a great fight tonight, I was very impressed and I have dedicated a large amount of my posts tonight to defending and lauding him. However, what he did tonight in no way diminishes or surpasses Pacquaio's recent accomplishments in my opinion. I think PBF is the better fight but that Pac is more deserving of being P4P #1 at the moment (which just goes to show you how utterly useless and subjective P4P lists are).

Pac scavenged Floyds scraps, the facts are the facts man

Floyd fought and beat a fresher younger DLH at 154 giving up every advantage including glove type, ring size etc...

Manny beat a corpse of DLH

Floyd punished and KO'D a fresh hungry undefeated Hatton.

Pac KO'D beat a dented version who clearly wasnt the same physically or mentally.

Floyd just destroyed a guy Pac went life and death with 2x... Before anyone jumps on the weight train come fight night Pac weighed about 147 for their contest last time out..

That is not even close to being a fact. While Mayweather is clearly the better fighter (IMO), Pac has the superior resume.

The same arguments you're using work both ways and it's very flawed. Pac beat Marquez twice in two close fights, Floyd outclassed and shut out JMM (dare I say a less than prime JMM who was shop-worn from his fights with Pac, Casa, and Diaz); Floyd won a close-ish SD over ODH, Pacquiao destroyed him in a fight that might have even been less competitive than PBF - Marquez. None of that means anything really. The fact is, for the last two or three years, Pacquiao has accomplished far more than Mayweather, as such I would argue that he deserves to be ranked ahead of Floyd in any mythical P4P rankings as a result of that. Nothing you can say will change my mind.

Where did I say you were foolish? I merely agreed with Missy (which pains me more than you will ever know) who said that this didn't mean that PBF should be considered P4P #1.

This is about as relevant to the JMM/PBF fight as what he ate for breakfast.
