Do you think Pac is on Peds?
I am interested to see who thinks he is on peds and who thinks he is not on peds.
Please vote.

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
I don't think he is any more or less medically enhanced than any other top-level boxer.

Dang CFH right when I posted this thread you already have a comment ;D
Super MOD powers are awesome! :D

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
Has he ever tested positive for anything? I believe not.
If he ever does i'll re-evaluate his career. Until then he is a modern-day legend that doesn't deserve these drug accusations.
(mafiajoeydeacon will be fuming)
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
I am suspicious, I can't help but be suspicious. He refused to do a drug test originally and cited all kinds of weird excuses. And to cap it all he has gone up in weight carrying not only his speed, but seemingly a lot more power. He has been knocking people out cold or else breaking orbital bones (twice) and now he has gone and hit Mosley in a way that he has never felt before. Manny is either supernatural or else using PED's. I even have my doubts whether Superman could stand up to him now.
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
i was suspicious...until this "new evidence" came out, and made me realize how silly all this is
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
regardless of whether he is using or not and natural ability aside, as Miles has stated it is highly unusual for any athlete to move up in weight and keep the same speed - if not more so AND increase their power. It just doesn't happen.
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
i dunno
his refusal excuses were suspicious and i dont buy the bowing to floyds demand argument
im not voting tho coz im not sure and im not anti pacman
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
He's already been tested a number of times for substances and came out clean. Most of the drugs that is being used by athletes doesn't work for boxers. If you want to do a little reading do some searching for "Confessions of a Steroid user" and the like. The reason I suggest it is because it is the only source of information that is not tainted by opinion or wanting to sell you something and dispense of the myths being created by rumor. So unless someone can point out some tangible evidence, I don't see any reason to believe he does.
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
And I am abstaining from voting as I am suspicious and nothing more. There is just something not right about Manny Pac, but I cannot say he is on them as it is just a hunch. I would need more concrete evidence rather than pointers indicating that it just might be the case.
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
Wouldn't surprise me in the least. Of course my imagination carries no weight, nor should it.

Actually in boxing there are several historical examples. Jimmy McLarnin started at 112 and won the 147 crown with a KO1. Sam Langfrod began at 135 and KO'd HOF heavyweights. Mickey Walker began at lightweight and KO'd ranked heavies. George Carpentier fought in every division that existed.
It is rare, not unprecedented.

LOL, damn younguns don't know their history ;)
McLarnin is a HOFer originally from Belfast. A legendary puncher from the 1930's. Langford is one of the greatest fighters of all time. A top ten guy. Over 200 wins including a dozen over HOFers. Fought from 1900-1920 or so. Best fighter never to get a title crack. Mickey Walker was the undisputed 147 and 160 king of the 1920's and 1930's. A top 20 guy all time. Carpentier is a Frenchman who once challenged Demspey for the heavyweight crown after WWI. The Message our navy sent to French ships at sea? "Your Frog flattened in fourth." Undisputed 175 king and HOFer.
What is important about these guys and this issue is steroids weren't even invented until the mid-late 1930's so this isn't evidence, it is proof what Manny has done is possible clean.

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
Kinda fucked that the yes option means "you've have always been anti-pacman"... that's bullshit. The behavior can make one suspicious but that doesn't mean one is anti...
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
I don't doubt their achievements but without seeing how they fought as they moved up through the weights. I don't think this is issue that concerns people. Plenty of great fighters have fought in different divisions it's the WAY he has looked to get more powerful and maintain speed.

Well I'm not sure what you need to see. McLarnin (as an example) began as a flyweight and brought enough power to get up from two knockdowns to knock down reigning 135 king and HOFer Louis Kaplan three times before stopping him in 8 and he stopped reigning 147 king and HOFer Young Corbett III in one round.
The thing people don't recognize about Manny is that it isn't that his power has increased. If THAT was it the last three guys wouldn't have gone the distance and Cotto wouldn't have lested into the twelfth. What is remarkable about Maanny is his technical improvement. His right hand has improved enough that the other guy can't just look for the left. His balance has improved enough that the last punch in the combination is as effective as the first. His footwork has improved enough that he can hit now from angles he couldn't previously move to. There is no PED I know of that correlates to those sorts of improvements.

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
I say yes he is on PEDs. As Roger Mayweather would say, "Motherfucker be on some A-side meth shit. Motherfuckers were going through bullets and shit. That's what the motherfucker's on."

Roger is a motherfucker who know his motherfucking shit, Pac must be using motherfucking PEDs.
Seriously, the Pac-PEDs issue is a horse that's been beaten to death, it time for that bullshit to be put to rest.

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
never
1. pac is a genuinely good man.
2. steroids/hgh should at least manifest itself in increase in muscle mass/density to improve power, pacquiao over the years has not bulked up.
3. this slandering is brought upon by envy.
-
Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
There is absoulutely no evidence that points to it. Just beating fighters in higher weight classes is not evidence of PED use its evidence of a great fighter.
However there is evidence mounting against Marquez. Using a strength coach who has a history of peddling PEDS, using alias's, and making up ridiculous stories such as this one in yahoo sports:
"Heredia said he is going to meet with FDA special agent Jeff Novitzky, the man who broke the BALCO case, Thursday in Las Vegas and that Marquez will provide a blood and urine sample,Heredia portrayed it as evidence that he is cooperating and attempting to develop a program that could catch cheats in professional boxing. But Novitzky is a criminal investigator, not a man who would be setting testing protocols or even handling a blood or urine specimen."

You're an idiot - Marquez said he'll take whatever test they want - So what you wrote right there is a LIE.

With 7 posts you are a very disgruntled pac fan that is obviously very upset about all of this.
Spread your negative words about marquez elsewhere.

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
ffs, only reason that Marquez ko'd Manny was cause of his "foot stomping technique" from the last fight, he must have done permanent damage :(:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: fuckin ridiculous, Pacquiao probably forgot his lucky fuckin socks again, and just in case anyone is too dumb to see through it, it's called sarcasm, Marquez waxed that ass 3 fights before it, so not shocking that he won this one the way he did given how hyped up he was about it and how relatively dumb Pacquiao is for not learning from his mistakes, Pacquiao can keep his 2 fake W's and D, cause in reality the only win in this series that means a damn is this one, a KO of the year is greater than whatever amount of knockdowns that Manny scored prior to

I'm not saying he is or isn't using but those are three totally baseless and therefore useless arguments.

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
They are ALL on performance-enhancing drugs. Martinez, Mayweather, Pacquaio, Marquez, Rocky fucking Juarez, all of them. IMO, to think otherwise is just naive. Boxing is still the shadiest sport in the western world.

Business.
It doesn't deserve to be called a sport.

Plenty of sports have become businesses first and foremost. There is no denying that the rules implemented in a boxing match make it a codified sport even if the interpretation of them by judges, media and promoters dirtys the water.

Good class. Good to see old heads still schooling people and staying unbias. We need more posters like you. Too bad is a rarity to read a good post like yours. There are so many delusional mofo now all you read is the same shit and already know what the same mofo will say. Your post is refreshing for a change. Thank you!

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
When are are some of you people going to realize that PED's go WAY beyond just steroids and getting "big." Steroids, in the traditional sense of bulking up, are now way down low on the totem pole of PED's athletes use. And people are foolish to think that the only reason people use PED's is to get big and strong. They are used for endurance and recovery as much as anything else. And some of you Pac fans remind me of Lance Armstrong fans. Just blind support. His own trainer basically incriminated him by saying he took "special shakes"!

Them special shakes couldve included caffiene and l tyrosine. Which both will enhance performance and they are not banned. There are a ton of non banned PEDs available for use.

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
Why not just a simple yes? Rather than the stupid reference that in order to vote yes you admit that you are anti PAC. You may feel he used PEDS but love or respect the entertainment he has provided over the years. Get your lips off Pac's cock already!

So in using your buzz words like remarkable, footwork, use of angles why have all these variable assets that he possesses been unable to generate any KO's since being accused of using PEDS by Mayweather? Why is he all in favor needles and VADA testing after getting KTFO by JMM ? Why is he the stupidest fighter to step into a "lol" lucky punch? How does decide to steep lower than stupid and renew contract with Top Rank?

Absolutely ...... "ENVY" That such a grand marketing farce can be created fighting hand picked named fighters coming off losses in @ 80 %. Of his fights after being discovered, fighting washed up fighters, catch weights, never fighting mobile hard hitting 1 punch ok type fighters, moving up weight classes and defying history and science, avoiding drug tests then demanding them after getting KTFO . The real story will play out in a theatre down the road .. The Great Top Rank Con Job".

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
Not testing positive on a specific and prewarned day and not being 'bigger' are meaningless.
EPO and ephedra aren't going to make you bigger and like most drugs, won't show up on a test if you're smart and know when you're going to have a sample taken.
Too much broscience in this thread, most of you aren't knowledgable enough to make all of these statements, if you think that anecdotal evidence of PED use would be the same for an athlete taking PEDs for performance as it would a gym rat taking them for aesthetics then you need to educate yourself further. Manny is no less drugged than the rest of them...
If you want to put faith in the same drug testing that failed to catch shane mosely then you're just putting your head in the sand.

Re: Do you think Pac is on Peds?
I wonder how the people who voted know would explain those infamous emails sent by Pac's camp to Mayweather's camp, asking what the penalty was if Pac tested positive and if Pac tested positive could it be kept a secret lol
