I'm not saying Pavlik is the quickest puncher, but when you watch his fights, notably from the recent fights, notice the first right hand that he drops on his opponent.. I remember rooting for Taylor, and as soon as he got hit with a right hand, he wasn't "stunned" as in physically stunned, but he was stunned mentally, he wasn't expecting it.. When you watch Lockett sit there and get hit with Kelly's right hand, he had the same response..

To be honest, I think that Pavlik mostly resembles Kessler, in regards of style.. and look what Calzaghe did to him.. Kessler had a few rally's but nothing more.. The HUGE difference between pavlik and kessler, is that Pavlik will be absolutely relentless the whole fight, while Kessler was a bit conservative early on, then he got frustrated and almost gave up towards the end it seemed..

Pavlik's chin is not even a factor in this fight so i don't know why anyone is talking about it.. If you think Joe could KO Pavlik then you've had a FEW too many.. The main factors will be CAN Pavlik connect with the right, and if so, HOW often..
Kessler's success was on the backfoot in the earlier rounds, Calzaghe avoided all the 'straight' punches he threw while Kess was trying to come forward, which is why he got discouraged. When joe cut out the mistake of leaning in too much Kessler had very little succes until joe started trading in the final round.
