It would be SWEET... no doubt about that, but the risk isn't worth the reward. Besides, Margarito is shot to hell and probably should retire. What boxing props is Cotto going to get by beating up on Margarito? None. And it's just not worth it. I think Emanuel Stewart is one of the best things that have happened to Cotto's career, but damn it... just a few fights too late. I think Manny could straighten out a few of the kinks in Cotto's gameplan, and there's nothing that says that Cotto wouldn't return the favor on Margarito. But again... people would just say: "Oh... Cotto just beat up a ruined fighter." And they'd probably be right. Screw Margarito! Let him fade off into obscurity, where he belongs.
Also if Cotto fought and beat him it would be a hollow victory.....even if Cotto laid down the most savage beat down of his career on Margarito it would be vs a shell of a man and it wouldn't bring anything back to Miguel.

High risk low reward....plus if Cotto fought him he'd just be giving more money to the guy that took so much from him. I mean most of you forget had Cotto won the fight vs Margarito the fight vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. was getting pretty close because the public wanted it.
