Arum: Cotto-Margarito ReMatch in NewYork Could Be The Plan

    http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=32841
by Ernest Gabion dtd 14Nov. 2010

"I promote both Antonio and Miguel. Now BOTH of them Got an ***-WHIPPING from Manny, so maybe I'll put them together and I think that it would make for a Really GOOD Fight," Arum said.

"A Cotto-Margarito fight, I think the BEST area is the NewYork metropolitan area. Whether it's Yankee Stadium, or Madison Square Garden, or the new MeadowLands or the new Tennis Stadium, but I think it belongs in NewYork," Arum said.

This would be an excellant fight, both fighters have had 2 serious ass whippings so it levels out the playing field alot and would settle the hand wraps dispute for good.

if Cotto's shoulder has healed good enough, and if he's improved even more with Steward in his corner, IMO Cotto avenges the loss and stops Margarito similar to how Mosley did, Margarito ain't shit without his wraps, and i'll say it now, Cotto will sink his face in

I'm going with Margo wearing down Cotto again and taking a win. Everyone can say he might have loaded his gloves in the Cotto fight, but you can't load that chin. Unless that chin is seriously bad now after the Pac fight. Margo just has the style to beat Cotto.

If Margarito does'nt have serious problems with his eye and is at least 75% of what he was when they first fought...ill take that bet.

    Bob is such a genious

This is a good fight for both fighters IMO. It gives Cotto the chance to avenge his first lost and it gives Margarito a chance to prove he does not need illegal wraps to beat Cotto.

Honestly at this point I dont know who will win. We got to see how well Margarito recovers first.

Part of me wants this for Cotto but honestly as a boxing fan I'm done with Antonio Margarito.....as a fan of the sport Margarito shouldn't be allowed to fight anymore.

Using loaded wraps isn't like corking a baseball bat or being a cyclist that uses EPO or a sprinter that roids up.....in boxing you can die when nobody is cheating.....loading wraps is I think the single worst thing you can do in all of sports...maybe intentionally beaning a batter above the shoulders ranks closest to it, but IMO lives are at stake and Margarito crossed a line where I don't want him in the sport anymore.

Something should seriously be done with regards to Arum and his in-house fighting, its absolutely terrible for the sport IMO. And I have heard a rumour that Mosley is maybe signing with Top Rank. Now we know wexactly what that could mean. Pac vs Mosley, and another Arum In-House Promotions one pocket to another exercise...

Arum plays just as bad a role as the alphabet organisations a hell of a lot of the time. You just know we'll be seeing a Rafa Marquez vs Lopez fight again too. I could rant the shit out of this but I'll refrain.

On a side note, No way Cotto will want any part of Margarito, Pac battered or not.
