Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I have mine. Catchweights cheapen the significance of weight divisions. Why have them? Do away with them altogether and just have fighters meet at prearranged weights. A professional fighter is perfectly capable of making the weight given sufficient time and preparation. That's what training camps are for. A gap of 7 pounds between divisions isn't a world of difference... it's not like the divisions are 20 pounds apart. They're doing it more now, or at least it's being publicized more now than in the past... and that's all there is to it.
