Sergio has come back from a serious injury, I think he will be in better condition next time. Age is nothing but a number and it is all in the mind. Ask Hopkins.

Was Sergio able to avoid punches like he use to last night? No he wasn't. The mobility he once had wasn't there. Pretty obvious the knee wasn't right. It's not that easy to recover from torn ligaments at 38. And how did them ligaments get torn? They were torn when he was dropped in his last fight. And who dropped him? Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. He's a diminished fighter thanks to Chavez. Really it's not that hard to understand. I dumb it down as best as I could for you. But I still expect it to go over your head. Cuz yes. You are indeed that fucking stupid and clueless about this great sport of boxing

His "comp" was hand picked by "him" this time! Sergio is a knowledgable boxer but he's not a great fighter. He's had a few good wins but he also lost when he stepped up too. Why can't a champ just be a good fighter who's difficult to fight because he's awkward or very quick or extremely strong. He doesn't have to be great because none of the current boxing champs are great. Mayweather has great talents but he doesn't fight great, Wlad has had great success but he's no great talent.
Why can't very good be enough at times, why does every champ need to be great? Their not! Ray

I hear and agree, being better than than everyone else doesn't seem to be enough, champions are always compared to great fighters from the past.

I had it 115-113 martinez. He did seem to lack pop and didn't sit down on his punches much at all. The less than stellar performance probably comes down to underestimating murray a bit and coming back from the surger. I think there is no need to write martinez off, just confirms that murray probably is world class, hell he gave sturm all he could handle. don't want to see a rematch since martinez probably only has a few fights left in him with that style of his

Against my better judgement, I'll continue trying to teach you about boxing and facts. Although I don't expect to get through that thick skull of yours. What was the biggest factor Saturday night against Murray? Martinez's hand. Yes, the same one he broke banging it against Junior's melon head. With me so far? If you call that "Junior ruining Martinez", you're more of a moron than I thought. Did Martinez allow himself enough time to recover from the hand injury? Probably not. It happens. It's nothing Junior did, dimwit. It was Martinez's mistake. Now the knee. Yes, he hurt it when he was finally dropped by Junior in the last round. Is that Junior ruining Martinez? Wrong, asswipe. That is an accident. Ruining is when you've administered a beating so bad... it affects the other guy's performance from there on out.

Now... don't expect me to spell things out for you everytime you get confused about real facts. If you can't tell facts from fiction, go back to remedial school where they can teach that shit to you.

I have no idea how a fighter "ruins" another fighter by winning 2 minutes of a 12 round fight!!
Has Juan ruined Pacman? Pacman was stopped when he was coming up in the ranks, it happens. Even great fighters loose and get stopped if they fight the contenders and strong up and coming young fighters!
Junior is without a doubt the least talented, unfocused, no disciplined pro boxer I've ever seen. The fact that he's even in a main event bout is amazing! The kid doesn't even know how to jab, if he did he could have atleast "tracked" Sergio in their fight and possibly learned about "dsistance" as he jabbed hahahaha but I doubt it!!
If he would dedicate himself to the sport he could have a chance because he has size and strength and some coordination but he's not a natural so without discipline he needs to fight the set ups he fought prior. He could beat Sergio but his mind isn't strong enough to dedicate and sacrifice. He's a "boob"! Ray

You'll get used to seeing ridiculous statements from VD when you've been around awhile longer. He wears his bias toward Mexican fighters on his sleeve, and tries to bully his statements through the forum consciousness. It's quite hysterical.... but then there's a VD in every boxing forum.

I should of known better. You never saw the fucking fight. To say Martinez hand was the biggest factor is fucking stupid. And it proves you never saw the fight. If you did you would of seen that Martinez never stopped throwing with either hand. He never favored any hand. No one even fucking knew his hand was broken till after the fight. Cuz he never showed any signs his hand was messed up. Broken or not Martinez was still using it and still scoring points with it. His bad hand wasn't the reason he was getting hit flush and dropped by the glacier slow Murray. It was his fucking knee. Only an idiot would think otherwise. Martinez style of fighting calls for him to rely on his legs a lot. Them legs ain't the same with a bad knee. Let me tell you something. I don't expect your stupid ass to understand it but still. If the Chavez fight would never of took place Martinez wouldn't of been hit with the punches Murray was hitting him. Now go watch the fight bitch.

    Oh fuck you, clown.
You'll never admit to getting your ass handed to you, 'cause you're used to it.

Bottom line: You said Junior "ruined" Martinez..... and now you're probably sorry you said it, because it made you look like the clueless, biased little punk you are.

    Later scumbag.

(Even an impartial observer with barely 50 posts here can see how ridiculous you are. He hasn't had a chance to be intimidated by your sorry ass.)

Martinez is kinda meh to me hes good figher but i would not put great and him in the same room. He hand long career but lost his first big fight with Margarito, Lost Paul Willaims but had a hell of a rematch with the knock out and beat Kelly Pavlik who was pretty much never the same after Hopkins. Martinez record at both Jmw and Mw aren't really aw inspiring not even sure i put him in the Hall of Fame but there are fighters that should not be in the hall that are so i don't really know.

Well Sergio may be out of his prime but when during his career was his prime. When lost to Paul and then knocked him out in the rematch. I think he is a good fighter but his comp is lacking overall.
