Is Canelo the toughest opponent for PBF since PBF has weighed over 140 pounds?

I haven't given a Floyd opponent a shot to beat him since Oscar, until Canelo. It's clear if you are a boxer turning down a Floyd Mayweather fight is retarded, so it makes sense why he is facing him now. At the same time, Canelo seems a little green to me. If you're a Canelo fan, in the ideal world, he could face some more competition before getting in the right with the best. Racking up wins against other belt holders before facing the best wouldn't be a bad idea.

The only reason why I think he might not be too green is because of his win over Trout. Trout is a full-fledged junior middleweight that completely dominated Cotto in his last fight. It's possible to use that as a yard stick for where Canelo is at.

The Trout fight was a travesty...sure Canelo won...but the scoring was disgraceful and outside of a knockout Trout never had a chance in that environment. More so...Canelo showed his stamina issues in full spades. Canelo and his team went for the big money with the Floyd fight and i can't hate him for that. But he is about to get schooled.

I thought the same when Floyd and Manny fought Oscar that it was about the money. When they beat him they became massive stars. If Canelo wins this he will pick up the multi million dollar cheques that Floyd would have got.

Floyd and Pac where at completely different stages of their careers compared to Canelo. They were proven champions...on a whole different level than Alvarez is right now. Alvarez could have still picked up huge paydays without this fight and gotten more experience as well. He has not fought anyone remotely as good as Floyd and he is going to get badly exposed. Sometimes...patience is a virtue.
