in what way would it be better for boxing?
Haye was talking about retirement
before the abysmal showing against Wladimir, nope one wants to see that again.
Vitali is past his best and should retire after Bermane Stiverne, if he does fight on it will not be against Haye.
So if Haye comes out with a win what will he do wait 9-12 months before his next bout, Fans are in no rush to fight see Wlad-Haye II after he bottled it in Hamburg.
So Haye has another 2 fights in two years, just to stay relevant, maybe he wins the WBC title after Vitali retires, he has one defense and retires himself.
Or he gets another shot against Wlad and loses again.
If you had to pick Wlad vs Haye or Fury, it has to be Fury.
Fury winning, you will see more exciting fights.
I have no doubt in Fury will take on all challenges, and if he wins the belts off Wlad it will be hilarious.
Again I don't see Vitali taking on Fury for his last bout, he shouldn't it has had a long career and he is past his best.
What will Haye do in next two years if he wins, lose against Wlad or win WBC then retire, I just don't see the exciting fights he will compete in.
Even if he takes the vacant WBC, beats Wlad I do not think he will stick around. (doubtful)
