No standing 8 counts under IBF or WBA. Or WBO and WBC for that matter. But weirdly refs sometimes do it anyway.

So its not within the law but loads of refs do it anyway?

Yeah it is in some rules, but not the 4 main governing bodies. Why refs do it sometimes I don't know.
But you must have heard before nearly every fight - 'ten point must system, no standing 8 counts etc'

Of course but seems im not alone as to the ins and out of this rule. even the promoter and Groves trainer seem clueless
