#1 It's your OPINION that Iran won't build a nuke unless attacked. And I'm here to tell you that in this situation your opinion gives me and more importantly the citizens of America and Israel no piece of mind in regards to our safety.

#2 Yeah it would "cement the current regime in power" because it's not like they've had the exact same power structure since the fucking revolution you dope

You do understand that Iran's posturing (even if it is ONLY posturing) against Israel and the United States gives the Israelis and Americans all the reason in the world to take them at their word. Why wouldn't I believe that Iran DOES want to "wipe Israel off the map"? Their fucking leaders have said it for decades but you're saying "No, they'll be peaceful"....based on what? What FACTUAL evidence do you have to support your claims? There are plenty of quotes by Iranian leaders that support my stance on this issue.

It's a fact that only America has ever used nuclear weapons directly against innocent people and so should NEVER be involved in any discussion about nuclear weapons. If any nation on this earth should be undergoing sanctions it would be America and if there were to be a number two it would be Israel.

Iran has had to deal with the overthrowing of a leader by America and Britain who simply had the decency to nationalise the nations resources, has had to deal with the imposition of a puppet state, then proudly got rid of that puppet, and then people like Lyle get shocked when individuals of Iran later suggest Israel needs to be got rid of? Just astounding.

The West and its duped populations need to wake up and smell the roses. The West certainly doesn't smell of roses. It has caused all kinds of nonsense in the region and now the holier than thou West is brokering deals with Iran to trade their own resources more freely. Please.

It's not my opinion. It's the opinion of your intelligence agencies. The people who know what they're talking about. You're just reacting to the hysterical crap your hear on TV where no doubt Iran are either trying to get or probably already have a nuke.

I could point out to you that they don't have the facility to enrich uranium more than 20% and you need to enrich it to 100% to make a nuclear bomb, or that we have nuclear inspectors in their plants every week monitoring exactly what they're doing, that they'd have to test any bomb before building one and we'd immediately know they'd carried out a test, that they'd still have to weapoinse a bomb and fit it on a warhead and they don't have the tech to do that or build a trigger or build a missile that could so the job. I've already told you all this but it long ago fell off the back of your shelf to be replaced by hysterical stuff from the cable news screamers.

This stuff is all common knowledge to anybody who reads the fucking paper every day. You should try it! Occasionally you'd avoid looking like a total fucking ignoramus.

The USintelligence agancies had Iraq ranked as a non-factor as far as any terrorist threat went. Then an opportunity to invade Iraq came along and Cheney went to have a word with the CIA and suddenly Iraq became a serious threat to the national security of the United States.

There isn't a single instance you can point to of the US intelligence agancies ever underestimating a military threat. After the cold war ended it turned out they'd been overestimating the USSR's military/nuclear capability by a factor of about fifteen.

They're not overestimating things here either. You're just listening to the bullshit on TV and you're doing what they want, wetting the bed over a nonexistent threat.

You don't even have a grasp of the long history of Israeli bullshitting over an Iranian nuclear weapon. Israel have been trying to get America to attack Iran since 1982 by bullshitting about Iran being on the cusp of having a nuke.

And frankly they have worked. He has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors. So in effect, our policies have strengthened the security of the neighbors of Iraq, and these are policies that we are going to keep in place............

    Again OPINIONS Kirkland

"From now onward, we will support and help any nations, any groups fighting against the Zionist regime across the world, and we are not afraid of declaring this"

    - Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei

"Today, you are hated throughout the world. If you don't know this, you should. The peoples burn your flag. The Islamic peoples all over the world chant: "Death to America!"

    - Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei

Those are quotes and I take him at his word. You don't because either you're an idealist or you're a moron.....and I believe you're too cynical to be an idealist

If you take him at his word then there's the problem solved, you can stop panicking!

Khamenei: No Nuclear Weapon Program, No First Strike
    Goal is Energy Independence
Abu Ghrayb, Haditha Weaken US Human Rights Claims

The US media presented only a snippet from the speech of Supreme Jurisprudent Ali Khamenei of Iran on Sunday, in which he threatened to damage oil supplies to the West if the US militarily attacked Iran. He did say that, but he also announced that Iran had no intention of striking first, had not attacked and would not attack another country, and that it has no nuclear weapons program and does not want a nuclear bomb. I didn’t hear any of those statements reported on television.
For some strange reason, a relatively full text of important speeches given by world leaders is almost never provided to the public by any US media in English.

Khamenei No Nuclear Weapon Program No | Informed Comment

Again, we've got inspectors in their nuclear facilities and have done for years. We have compete knowledge of their nuclear capabilties and have a full accounting of all their uranium. We know they don't have the tech to either build, trigger or launch a nuclear missile. We know they're not even trying to build one. I know the people at Fox have you wetting the bed over Iran's imminent nuclear attack but it's not going to happen.
