Maybe that shot he took off Haye it the Vitali press conference has affected his resiliance. It certainly wouldnt have helped it.

I dont want to start a conspiracy here but maybe it was the legal hammering he took in the ring from Haye?

Chisora took a full blooded bear knuckled right hand off Haye and didn't get knocked out but it may well have affected his long term ability to take a shot. It still wasn't just a single shot that Haye stopped him with but now Chisoras getting hurt left right and centre by journeymen.

I'm not so sure, you can punch a lot harder with gloves on than you do bare knuckle (unless you want your hands to shatter, I thought you said you boxed?! ). Haye's hand was fine afterwards, I'd be surprised if Chisora hadn't been hit harder dozens of times in sparring that year alone.
When you hear about people getting punched outside a pub and then slipping into a coma, it's usually because they were drunk... They topple over because their balance is gone and smack the back of their head on concrete.
