What do you mean by below the waist?
Understand what actually moves us, and gives us the ability to create power and direction. Its the floor, we dont drive of the floor, we drive in to it. Its all done by Feet and Knees, thats your mechanics of movement. They give you direction and Drive and Depth, and balance.
Isn't the back? We were taught that you can punch hard if you put your back in to the punch.
If you do that you lose balance what moves the back in balance are the feet and knees. Hips only move 6% to protect the coxxys its the knees that do most of the work. Stand with your ankles and knees locked straight try and move your hips. Understand the mechanics of walking, 1st thing we do standing as a baby.
What degree of bend is required in knees and what hour are the toes pointed too?
15% both knees, when lifting the heel to throw the hook, where the heels lift, drop the knees the same amount on the turn. Time between 10 and 15 minutes past 12 imagine you have a piece of 3x2 between the heels.
Ok so pick up the rear heel (left hook) then drop it and come up on the lead foot (toes).
No dont drop the back heel but bend both knees
Just practiced it, and I almost tore the knee. Both heels up?

Foot has to be turned. otherwise you are pushing the shot. Any shot the foot should be that direction the fist is going. Heel on floor the TFL is not engaged, so the posterior chain cant work.

Turned my lead toe to 3 o'clock and it functions however I keep falling back on the rear leg. Appearing that I'm off balance, is my weight to fall straight downward or can I fall on my rear foot?

Drop on both feet, front foot turn and drive, back foot drive or lock at knee.

Heres something you can try to understand, what im saying. Stand knees relaxed and slightly bent, with arms out in front of you, palms turned up. As fast as you can turn both palms down, then turn them up, feel whats happening to the hips.

A unique weighted hook I've never seen a hook like and my palms never went below 90 degrees. Scrap must the elbow be at 80-70 degrees North?
