Ward is fighting and that is a good thing. That is all that matters.

You can also argue the same for Rigo.
Ward and Rigo are two of the top 10 boxers. I agree that Haymon won't let any of his fighters face Jay Z's fighters, at least so far, that's what he's shown. Just look at Quillin not taking $1.5MM to face Korobov, or Santa Cruz avoiding Frampton or Rigo. But, that doesn't mean Ward can't become a champion again by forcing a mandatory with a Haymon fighter because the Haymon fighter will dump the belt, a la Danny Garcia-Postol and the aforementioned Quillin-Korobov.
I doubt Ward gives 2 fucks about titles. He wants a big money fight. And I dont think Jay Z can give them to him
You might be right, but I'm thinking Ward knows that titles usually mean more money. I'm also sure Roc Nation Sports isn't into promoting to give money away. Of course, I could be completely wrong, maybe they created the promotion company to help with taxes.

It's the money. All about the money Jay Z has and the money he can put together with his connections. Haymon is shitting bricks, as a once dumb fuck from Marcy projects that used to deal dope is probably set to top him as a promoter/manager with his Harvard pedigree and years of experience.

I hate it when shit like that happens. I actually dislike the glorification of dumb fucks, because you know behind that façade isn't really "hard work" all the time- but skulduggery, gangsterism, sexual impropriety and theft.

Wait? Was I talking about Haymon or Jay Z here?!?!

Man! Wake up! Do you really believe these two guys had an easy ride to the top? You don't think they both took some real chances, that most of us wouldn't be willing to take.
I'm not saying they should be admired or liked, but you have to give them credit for being at the top.
Ambition, brains, balls to spare, and some luck. All of us don't have that combo.

    Definition of a hater..brush them shoulders..lol

I'm not a big jay z fan but I want the best for ward and with 3 possible fights for 2015 I cant wait to see the 2nd best boxer in the world back in his day job.

Froch admitted the other day he wont fight ward again as he will loose on points..even froch knows how good ward is and good on him for being honest.

Ward and whoever owns Goosen now just weren't going to work together again without it involving large amounts in lawyer fees for both parties before any kind of resolution. That was an opportunity for this rap person to move in and offer goosen a big chunk of money to buy out Ward's contract -- it's about making a splash and Ward is the biggest name they can get. They were willing to pay a couple of million for a Quillin fight just to make a splash so to get Ward they no doubt offered the Goosen people a satisfactory amount.

Now they've got Ward and apparently Rigo eventually. Two guys who can't sell tickets or move the needle on the TV ratings dial. In Rigo's case HBO don't even want to show him again. And Top Rank/Fishnets/Haymon will be as willing to make fights with this rapper as they were with the previous rapper who signed Gamboa and -- yeah, who else did he sign. Billy Dib? Kirkland? Their careers have all done amazingly well, haven't they?

So they've got fighters nobody really wants to show or buy a ticket to watch and a bunch of other promoters who will conspire to strangle them in their crib. Good luck.

I just don't know what's left for Ward at 168 besides the winner of Groves/Dirrell and DeGale. Like GGG, he should move up.

Those are still good fights at super middle. There is no need to face the dangerous light heavies.

If you're a promoter of any of those three guys, why put your guy in with Ward?

There are plenty of belts available. Ward owns one of the three or four available WBA supermiddle belts. So what?

Belts are not easy to come by. The titles are all tied up and an easy fight would be fighting Ward who has not fought for over a year +

The boxing fan in me says because he's the class of the division and they sould want to challenge the best. The realist in me says because he's a star at HBO so a fight with him should offer a decent financial upside. Didn't Rodriguez have a contract for $1mm to fight him? That's more than Dirrell makes.

I don't think any of the promoters of the guys you mentioned think Ward is an easy fight. There are much easier options for them to win a belt. For both the promoter and the fighter, as far as making money goes -- which is what they're doing what they're doing for -- fighting somebody else or for a vacant belt and then defending it against anybody but Ward is the way to go.
