A lot of British people do not take those jobs in hotels/nursing homes etc because they see it beneath them.
Oh yeah Master? Well you'll see how fast they'll take those jobs once the pay has to be increased much higher for British Nationals. You'll see how fast they take those jobs happily and cheerfully when they need to pay their rent and they earn several pounds per hour more than currently say for example Polish people are earning over there.
