The building controller who passed this specification should be hung.

Is that what all the protesting was about? They showed it last night and looked like a near riot broke out with May being jeered and rushed off the property etc.

People are annoyed about the inaction and a real response to the tragedy

Seems tragedy and empty rhetoric of officials in response knows no boarders. Was it Government owned or private. Almost sounds like it was a death trap.

Government owned and they may have picked a cheap cladding which may have made the fire spread quicker

Not entirely sure how Government funded and supported housing programs work there but many places here are notorious for bad conditions and health-code violations. Until recently a couple locally were accidents waiting with limited entry- exit and half the emergency fixtures busted.

This is thankfully a rare event and government regulated buildings normally have high standards. Whoever passed this refurbishment is in serious trouble.
