Fuck off with that nonsense. This is not some kind of competition or PC contest it's pretty basic fundamental common sense and empathy. We are talking about re-homing victims of a tragedy in which possibly hundreds died. Some of whom have been sleeping in cars. Nobody has said you can't respond, but when you spout off bollocks about private property being seized by some communist conspiracy then you can expect people to correct you. "The apartments were always going to be used as social housing, but the developer St Edward is now helping to get them ready for occupation faster.
The flats were originally due for occupation between October and December. Now they are expected to be ready at the end of July.

The Government is also helping to subsidise the more rapid turnaround, which a spokesperson said would cost £2m-£3m, with the money coming out of the Communities department budget.

1. Hundreds of people are likely to be dead and she isn't

2. Nobody is moving into her block

3. The Social housing blocks next door were always going to be used for social housing and so nothing there has changed.

4. The residents at Grenfell were in social housing and they are about to be rehoused in SAFE social housing

People are being moved out of flats all over the UK because of Austerity short cuts making places unsafe. Hospitals, Schools and even Hotels are even now being discovered to have taken short cuts.

Other than that, it IS hard to imagine why someone would buy into a project that is slated for social housing, and then complain when exactly that happens.

Notice how nobody cares where the money comes from when it come to overseas property speculation. I include them in the criminality and being booted out thing. There should be checks on where the wealth comes from. If it is criminal money, then take the property and divide up the rooms in the home and you have more homes for local singles who work hard.

I sympathise totally with anyone who bought those apartments for top price , only to have the value lowered.
