Cancer, heart conditions, Alzheimer's, etc.......... all diseases that come from genetically pre-disposed conditions, lifestyle, hereditary considerations, and other factors out of our control.

A virus is something you catch from someone else, through some type of social contact.

Can we stop comparing COVID statistics with those of cancer and heart attacks, FFS?

It's about numbers. Cancer is not syphilis but we still care about the numbers and its impact. I do not know anyone with syphilis either, though I have wondered about some.

No... it's about apples and oranges.

To me, it's pointless to mention cancer and heart attacks when talking about COVID-19.

An apples to apples comparison would be the flu, and we've already seen how the numbers go. THAT's where I would agree it's about the numbers.... when comparing apples and apples.

Syphilis is a sexually-transmitted disease and belongs even less in the conversation.



Frankly... I don't know where all of this is supposed to lead. If it's to minimize COVID-19 as a pandemic and a major threat to people's health and lives....... no..... I'm not on board.
