Wladimir was close to being forced to retire from boxing when he chose to fight Sam Peter and he whipped the absolute crap out of Sam...Sam hasn't been right since then.

Wladimir has had exciting fights but sometimes he beats his opponents into submission before he KO's them....THEY don't throw punches back at him it's not his fault....I mean I guess it is since he punches them into a shell and then KO's them.

Wladimir's last fight before he fought Sultan was a 2 round KO....but noooooo we'll just forget ALL about that.....bastards
I never said he wasn't in exciting fights or he doesn't take risks but your comparison about Wlad's lastest fighs and comparing that to Holmes fights is way off the mark, i feel since Wlad's KO losses he has lost a lot of confidence. Like someone said in another thread he seems to actually be scared to get hit. And as for your last comment lets just remember Lyle who Wlad was actually fighting aka Ray Austin, and 95 percent of the boxing public expected Wlad to finish him inside of 4 rounds, your a fan of Wlad and i respect your opinion but i just think your way off the mark comparing Wlad's last gun shy fight to Holmes fights, when infact Holmes was never ever gun shy in any of his championship fights, he was always snapping his opponent's head back with his piston like left jab, and he was always looking to stop his opponent with the uppercut or straight right hand. Wlad needs to try and look impressive and not just be satisfied with winning jabfest/clinchfest fight. He could of took Sultan out at anytime with his right hand but yet he wouldn't take that risk and why is that exactly ?? i think its something to do with confidence problems.
