    Pacfan got my point.
Pacquiao trains so hard that it is surprising that he still has 3lbs left to shed. He looked lean as a nice steak when I saw him last training. very little to lose.

Yup, you're one of the guys whom I meant put some sense on this issue. I bet lots of guys here never really tried to shed real meat weight. If they did, they wouldn't be talking like it's nothing. If it were easy to shed 3lbs in a week, those hundreds of dieting books won't be on the best-seller's list year after year.

Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

manny will be a very lean 133 lbs, them 3lbs he'l b losing wont b fat,itl b water in his body, basically every boxer in every division is ALWAYS 2/3lbs above the weight limit a few hours b4 the weigh in and will then go into a sauna and sweat out the extra poundage or naturally shedding the etra last cple of pounds by letting nature take its course. The idea being that u want to have the maximum amount of muscle at wotever weight it is.Its a perfectfully healthy way of doing things that every boxer does and then after the weigh in the boxer will take in the fluids to fully rehydrate his body plus abt 3/4 carb and protien rich meals to be fully energized for the fight, thats why boxers can weigh anything from 5-15lbs above the weight limit come fight time, the extra poundage is the fluids and food in his system not fat.

that woznt for for everybody,i know most people know this and are clued up

Ok, to put close to this issue, here is the latest words straight from pac's mouth on mb.com.ph (Manila Bulletin) today: "I will make the weight limit (of 130 lbs) by way of hard work and training." Clear enough.

    Just two points.
    1) It's not easy. Shedding water involves strenuous physical exertion without the primary ciomponent of the body; water, with the aim of losing the body's largest component; water.

    2) It's not healthy. The first area to shed water is the area around the brain, ironically it is also the last place to gain back water.

I had a viral infection when I was in my first year high school. I couldn't eat or drink. I keep throwing up and blowing mud. I lost over 10 lbs in less than 3 days. I ended up in the hospital. I thought I was gonna die.

It sure is. I was just sharing my (unfortunate) experience in rapidly losing weight.
