Right now Im looking at it like this,Bush and Cheney have left the living room looking like a frat party gone south,McCain will just keep trashing the joint,Hillary will ignore alot of it,and start dusting,Im hoping Obama will actually pick up the damned furniture and the nachos on the floor.

The problem is that, no matter who wins, the country is not going to get back on track for years. I know you don't seem to like Bill Clinton, but at least we were operating in the black for a bit during his term. The war, economically speaking, is only beneficial to select groups in our country - while being essentially devestating to the nation as a whole. I hear a lot of rationalization as to the reasons behind the slumping economy, but a lot of that is just plain bullshit. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

I think these are very dangerous assumptions to make. The nation might withstand deep divisions, but then again, it might not. I truly believe that if some fundamental changes in the structure - in the very foundation - of government do not occur reasonably soon, then our nation will not survive. Mind you, I'm speaking in the long-term, but I care about that as well.

I wonder what John McCain thinks will happen if Obama meets with Iranian leaders? Puppies will start randomly exploding? Rabbits will start attacking people?

Its so funny to watch McCain spout the same gibberish as George Bush in foreign policy areas, George Bush!! The guy who's foreign policy is almost unanimously panned as probably the worst in American history.

And its so ridiculous cause I don't even think he believes it, nobody's that stupid. Even Bush met with "hostile" leaders, look at North Korea, Qaddaffi for fuck's sake.

Not sure what good they think comes out of not dealing diplomatically with other countries. Will Iran change their policy because we don't meet with them, because they feel slighted?

I'm not even saying diplomatic negotiations with Iran would work but its so funny to hear McCain act like the world would come to an end if we talk to them.
