The old figher A struggled with fighter B who fighter C beat easier so fighter C beats A and if you disagree throw in a favoratism comment as an ignorant way of trying to convice someone that throughout boxing that has always been the case. When infact opponents in comon and there results have no bearing on the outcome of any given fight.
Like i said as one example Ali would have had no chance against Foreman as Ali struggled and lost to both Frazier and Norton while Foreman desroyed both.
Styles its all about styles.
And from Toney until the first Tarver fight Jones really didnt fight anyone of any real quality.
Like i said if i was a betting man i would have bet on Jones but for people to say this is a mismatch or would be a one-sided beatdown know little about the game.

Ross i don't know what your problem is but your acting very immature and stupid for someone that has supposedly boxed, i said RJJ was losing at that point in the fight, but he never looked in any trouble Griffin was just doing that little bit more. Until the 7th round when Jones knocked Griffin down then Jones started to have an easier time with Griffin, and as for you quoting my comment about certain knockdowns are different in boxing of course they are that is obvious isn't it ?? some knockdowns you can be off balance, some knockdowns can be down to you being caught cold etc theres many different variations. And as for your comment regarding Barkley, if you have watched the fight you should know Benn was badly shaken in that fight by a left hook from Barkley, and he hit Barkley while he was on the canvas 3 times and he should of been DQ, Toney never looked in trouble and gave Barkley a boxing master class. And for you to say Toney struggled against Barkley is damn right absurd and ridiculous. And you have seen majority of Calzaghe's fights so what ?? so have i i've got his career set. But outside of that your knowledge is very limited, you said Jones was floored by Telesco when that was BS and lies, and you said Toney struggled with Barkley which is BS and lies.
One last question which are Kessler's best wins ?? Craig Cumming, Librado Andrade, Anthony Mundine, Manny Siaca etc ??
Toney's best wins before the Jones fight were Merqui Sosa, Iran Barkley, Mike McCallum, Michael Nunn, Reggie Johnson, Tim Littles, Charles Williams, Doug De Witt, and titles at two weight classes and he was top 3 P4P fighter at the time, to say even consider that Kessler was rated higher than Toney was at the time when Jones fought him, or too even say he was a better fighter, is ludicrous and shows you know nothing about boxing and your just a plain and simple hater.

Im a haterGrow up with the cheesy cliches
Calzaghe struggles with straight rights? by struggling do you mean beating everyone hes faced and being the top dog in two divisions?
Oh no, ive been negative repped?

God i hope Jones beats Calzaghe when they meet this year anybody who thinks a prime calzaghe would beat or could beat a prime Jones is CRAZY!!![]()
Almost Negged you too, but I didnt seeing your entitled to your opinion and at least your debating your way around which is cool with me, even if I disagree with you...
I'll put more stock in RJJ beating soundly Toney and Hopkins than anyone Calzaghe ever faced.. I'm a Calzaghe fan too but its time to let it go already... Joe would be the betting Underdog against a prime Toney and Hopkins....
Toney's best wins before the Jones fight were
Merqui Sosa, good win
Iran Barkley, wiped out in a round by Benn, had five (two by ko) before facing Toney
Mike McCallum, was already beaten by journeyman sumbu kalambay
Michael Nunn, good win
Reggie Johnson, had a loss, nothing special
Tim Littles, good win
Charles Williams, had five losses one by ko
Doug De Witt, seven losses and another recycled benn opponent
Not a bad resume at all but he still couldnt put two titles together
geezuc Chrise.. Calzaghe struggles with the straight right, Jones snap and hanspeed would be something to behold... Jones was backing up and busting up a 240 John Ruiz, you think he isint gonna hurt Calzaghe?
Jones punches have alot of snap and accuracey were as Joe can throw fast but they are typically arm punches and slaps designed to score points.. Jones would toy with him like he did with all the others
