I do think in the end his pace would be a bit to much and there are other fights I would rather see, like Wright, but he doesn't need to go foray in another division, he's waiting for Abraham at middleweight.

Come on, everyone knew that he wasn't going to have a really big fight this year when Abraham won and said he would honor his mandatory. Hopkins would be a harder fight then anybody Abraham has ever faced too.

And what has Abraham been doing for the past 3 years? Aside from Miranda him and Sturm have literally been defending against the softest competition in boxing. Your boy Berto won a WBC title over a nobody, but you are going to single out Pavlik? There is something else there, you must just not like Pavlik because that's ridiculous.
YATZHEE!!!

Pavlik and take the victory, not just ride his name/legacy to a controversial close lose/win....rinse & repeat.

I suppose I'm thinking out loud and asking myself If I believe this one is winnable for Hopkins........absolutly!But he can be very frustrating for his fans and needs to TAKE it,his tomorrows are just about up!
I too think Hopkins has a shot at winning this. But if all goes Pavlik's way, Bernard may be in big trouble. It'll be marketable too, the past of the middleweight division vs the future!

Also.. Pavlik would win BUT I guarantee half this forum will claim Hopkins was ROBBED!! Fact.
I think it was more about people's dislike for Calzaghe rather than a love for Hopkins. A lot in here hate his style of slapping, including me. I can see how either man could've been given the nod between them two, but I dislike Joe more than the next guy but I thought he won...
