No just one and that was a overhyped Jeff Lacy.
Didnt Manfredo take him the distance. Wow Manfredo another one of Calzaghe
    worthy opponets.

Lacy was more feared than Pavlik before the Calzaghe fight.

You talk shit maybe i should go on about Pavlik getting dropped heavily by a Welterweight
You need to get your facts straight first off if your on about Bronco McKart that was a shot to the shoulder and that shouldn't have been counted as a knockdown......

Kelly Pavlik's other knockdown was against Fulgencio Zuniga who is now Super Middleweight and is a big puncher and that wasn't a heavy knockdown that was a flash knockdown in the 1st round which is comparable to Joe Calzaghe's knockdown against Bernard Hopkins.......

Joe Calzaghe was more heavily knocked down against Kabary Salem who isn't a big puncher.

We need to all stop talking about Pavlik vs Calzaghe. This fight will not happen! Two words: "Roy Jones"

Pavlik has been a pro 6yrs and down 3x by one bum and by a Welterweight. Calzaghe has been a pro 17yrs and be down 2 and a half time. Once by Mitchel a bomber of the highest order former world champion and Salem when Calzaghe got sloppy and was up at 1. I dont count the Hopkins knockdown as Joe was off balance and pushed Calzaghe has eaten 4x harder shots and smiled.

This Pavlik has a great chin, well i dont see it.

Why do you keep saying Kelly Pavlik was knocked down by a Welterweight aka Brono McKart ? you haven't even seen the fight because if you had you would know it was a punch on the shoulder it wasn't a head shot and it shouldn't have been counted as a knockdown......

Fulgencio Zuniga is not a bum he has good punching power and is tough as nails sure he is not one of the top fighters but to call him a bum is highly disrespectful and that shows your knowledge on him........

Byron Mitchell a bomber of the highest order ? are you kidding me ? Byron Mitchell is really not that much better than Fulgencio Zungia he won the title beating a shot Frankie Liles and then went life and death with Manny Siaca twice and his only other claim to fame was losing close decision to Sven Ottke but who didn't ? atleast 9 of Sven Ottke's decisions shouldn't have gone his way Charles Brewer x2, Robin Reid, Mads Larsen, Thomas Tate 1, Glen Johnson, Rudy Markussen, David Starie, need i go on.......

How can you not count Joe Calzaghe's knockdown against Bernard Hopkins but you count Kelly Pavlik's knockdown against Fulgencio Zungia ? both knockdowns are similar both fighters were caught cold in the first round and both were quickly up and both were flash knockdowns..........

And Joe Calzaghe was heavily dropped by Kabary Salem that was no flash knockdown and you could see by his face expression that he was shook up im not saying it wasn't lucky because yes he did trap Kabary Salem in the corner and Kabary Salem just swung a right hand out of desperation but still Kabary Salem is no puncher and he dropped Joe Calzaghe pretty heavily on the canvas..........

I think both men have good chins but i wouldn't say either fighter possesses a granite like chin and even if you think Kelly Pavlik hasn't got a good chin it isn't really going to come into play against Joe Calzaghe is it ? who hasn't been a banger in years i think it comes more down to how will Joe Calzaghe's chin stand up to Kelly Pavlik's bombs at his age and remember even though Joe Calzaghe has fought some good opposition he has never really fought a fighter with Kelly Pavlik's power but thats my opinion.

It gets like that every now and then, especially when the debate is about people's favorite fighter.

ssss probably ended this debate with that post. Nice job!

Im replying to someone claiming that Pavlik has this all mighty chin. Well he was knocked down by a guy who started his career at 147lbs and is about 6" shorter than Pavlik. And again Calzaghes chin will easily hold up to Pavliks shots. Pavlik is a middleweight and in his one fight at 166 hardly looked powerful. Calzaghe has been in with much bigger men who put more than a one-two together.

Time will tell what will happen and like i said i like Pavlik its when his fans say Calzaghe has no chin or Calzaghe hasnt beat anyone i argue back. Then it becomes them just name calling not being able to back anything they say up.

And as for chins Calzaghe has been down 3x in 16yrs against 168lb fighters, Pavlik has been down 3x in 6yrs against Middleweights.

Everyone and sadly this means everyone has the right to thier own opinion, what race, the state thier from, what color underwear a boxer wears has absolutly nothing to do with anything. There are certian places that produce more than others but to bring that up in a boxing disucussion always is a tactic of someone who "A" spends to much time on myspace or "B" has limited boxing knowledge to argue a point like an adult. Not pointing fingers at anyone cause i stopped reading when the discussion got away from boxing but just my opinion. How can someone be wrong about a fight that hasn't even been made and hell has a chance of not even happening. Joe could catch pavlik in the first 30 seconds of the first round for all we know and Ko him cold, nothing is impossible....unlikely but not impossible everyone has a right to thier own belief no matter how wrong they may seem. Wanna prove em wrong bet money, sig, anything but calling names and net bangin only proves....well you know. Now here's my opnion back to the topic of boxing, i see it as a mosquito against a bear, the mosquito could stay outside irritatingly stinging for 12 rounds and win but if the bear catches him, it could be good night real quick. I'd pick pavlik by KO myself but who knows.....i did smoke a morning bowl earlier.

Anyone claiming Pavlik beats Calzaghe in the chin department is having a laugh.

Forget the fact that Calzaghe has fought by far the stronger competition, and forget the flash knockdowns both have suffered, name ONE time Calzaghe has been turned into a DRUNK staggering all over the ring not knowing how to use his legs?

Taylor was close to stopping Pavlik.

In fact, some refs would have jumped in to SAVE him from a further bashing.

Calzaghe hasn't EVER been close to getting stopped. Fact.
