i know it's vague about a fighter that get's up after being knocked down but here is the ibf uniform championship rule as of september 2006.


10. A boxer who has been knocked down cannot be saved by the bell in any round.

Does that include a fighter who gets to his feet but obviously can't continue? He cannot be saved by the bell in any round therefore if he is not fit to fight after the 8 count then the fight should have been scored a tko.
