Trainer whilst you believe whatever you want you must accept that Renaldo Snipes and Tim Witherspoon took it to Holmes and damn near beat him and of course Holmes did show he was resiliant vs Shavers but Earnie was a TEENY TINY heavyweight and if he could sit Holmes down like he did then Larry would be in DEEP shit vs the likes of Bowe, Lewis, and Wlad no matter what you might think about them.

Larry could jab like a mofo but Bowe worked on the inside and moved VERY well, Lewis had crazy power and was very athletic, Wlad is more athletic than people want to admit he's robotic because he sits on his punches but he's very accurate and doesn't risk much.

Larry won fights by controlling distance with the jab and controlling the pace vs the bigger stronger fighters of more recent times he would have trouble.
Lyle Renaldo Snipes never come close to beating Larry Holmes, i've asked Larry Holmes himself about the punch he was knocked down with against Renaldo Snipes.

And he said he was caught sleeping/over confident and as soon as he was knocked down. He knew he had to take him out and he did, 20 seconds after that knockdown he had already recovered and had Renaldo Snipes hurt.

Except for that brief moment Renaldo Snipes was dominated throughout most of the fight, and against Tim Witherspoon. Well Tim Witherspoon was a heck of a fighter as at his best who was very similar to Ken Norton. No shame in having a close fight with Tim Witherspoon probably one of the most skilled Heavyweights, who never achieved what he should have very similar to Riddick Bowe.

And Lyle are you kidding about Earnie Shavers ? he put everything into that overhand right against Larry Holmes. Thats one of the hardest punches i've ever seen, Larry Holmes hit the canvas with a thump for crying out loud. If your trying to say that wasn't one of the most devastating shots ever, then i really don't know what to say.

If Wladimir Klitschko had been hit with that shot he would of left the ring in a stretcher, and the fact that it only took 4 seconds for Larry Holmes to get up, was incredible and shows how good his recovery powers were.
