Yeah we're making some wickedly strong Beer these days. Eight percent alcohol, maybe even stronger. Our standard is 5%. I don't like the taste of the strong stuff myself.
Back in my hard partying days we used to have lots of beer strikes. Then the liquor stores would have only American beer, which was only 3% and watery as piss. Canadian standard was and still is 5%. What to buy? Nothing like being stuck at the drinking place at the side of the river with some buds and a 24 of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
My understanding is that American Beer has improved somewhat since the old days though.
I always used to chuckle at the differences between some Canadian and American products. Beer and cigarettes in particular were totally different.

I don't know much about beer but usually when I drink and I'm able to pick I try to get Steel Reserve which is 8.1 percent alcohol I think, pretty sure. Though I'd much prefer just vodka or something anyways.
Drink vodka straight fuck a long island - Mac Dre. Had to get that in there. How are cigarettes different there?

I've got to disagree with CGM, American smokes are FAR superior to Canadian smokes IMO. I smoked for about 10 years before I quit, and I LOVED American brands. Camel Wides Lights are the best cigs I have ever had.
Export A, Players, Du Maurier, Dunhill, they're almost 10 bucks a pack now (maybe more?) so the cheaper bands like Canadian Classic are quite popular as well.

I never said Canadian smokes were superior, I just said American smokes tasted more like horseshit.
p.s. CFH I've been in just about every province in the country in the last 10 years, except the maritimes, and British Columbia has by far the highest prices for beer, cigarettes, and gasoline. It must be a taxation thing.

If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
