America is so cheap compared to how us Brits pay our way but $54 for a PPV is about £26-28 or so? am I close?
It's only about £15 for us Brits (so about $30)..........you can get a loaf of bread for that over here.....just![]()

My uneducated guess is closer to a million than 650K.

It will crack the million mark I reckon also
Array
It will break 1 million buys. $50 is not that expensive. That's the cost of one haircut and the fight is worth it. Economy is doing good already. Price of gasoline has been going down.
This is the event of the year in boxing and casual fans will be buying this fight.![]()

This fight aint gonna do that much man keep DREAMING

All I know is both Direct TV and Dish Network are putting on extra staff to deal with the buys

Anyone here going to buy the PPV?
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

I still think the fight will do at least 1 million buys. However, if this fight really bombs and draws fewer buys than that, it might force promoters and HBO to seriously think about the viability of PPV cards as long as the economy is bad.
Unfortunately, the economy is not doing good. In fact, it is the worst recession since the early 80's and it's getting worse. Friday's jobs report for November should be hard to look at, with estimates ranging from 320,000 to 400,000 job losses, making it the 11th straight month of job losses. Some economists are expecting Friday's figures to be the biggest job losses since 1980. $54.95 is a lot to shell out with the economy in the tank. The promoters really ought to have shaved at least $10 off this fight.
