I wouldn't go so far as to call Morales shot by the second fight - the third, for sure, but he still had something in the tank for the second. Except for the scoring error, Pac would have won the first JMM fight, and the second was close enough to not be regarded as a gift decision (see Valuev-Holyfield). I understand it gets old fighting off the Pac nuthuggers, but those three names are also three future HoFer's. Nothing to blithely disregard.
I dont know man Erik didnt look like Eric the 2nd time around, I know there was a heck of a lot of people who gave JMM the nod in their 2nd fight including myself...
I thought the 1st MAB fight was a thing of beauty the way he dismantled him with ease and Im not even using the BS camp got burned out thing either.. Pac beat his ass fair and square nothing more, nothing less..
So as I dint mean to denigrate as much but Im echoing a vast majoritys sentiment as well
The part of this whole empowerment of Levi,Bruce Lee and Julius Rain is that he beat Oscar at 147, when Floyd beat a younger DLH with all the advantages at his optimum fighting weight(154), most were downplaying Floyds win saying DLH was a partime fighter and is mostly a promoter and had slipped and gave him no credit for the win..
But your most Holy Pacquiao does it a year and half later against a shriveled up freeze dried Delahoya and all of a sudden Manny is a world beater
Now he is going to beat Hatton and Floydyea ok, why not throw Pavlik in there too

I think the whole appeal of Pac beating De La Hoya was the fact that Pac moved up so much in weight in such a short amount of time and did it when no one gave him a chance to win.
De La Hoya was not the same fighter he was when he fought Floyd and I think it was more about the weight rather than him being shot. When he fights again at 154 I think we'll all see he's still not that bad.
Either way, the weight, size, and predictions were supposedly against Pac and him beating all those odds made the win big for me.
Yes, Mayweather has better names, but between Morales, Barrera, and JMM, Pacquiao fought 7 fights. Add Oscar's name to that, and those are 4 fighters that are DEFINITELY going to be no-brainers to the hall of fame that Pac has fought and beaten. I don't think that can be said about Floyd's resume.
I think the keywords are, "unless you bring up those guys." I think it can definitely be argued who has the better resume between Floyd and Manny but I think the reason I stated above would give Pac the nod.

Looking at it like that just repeats my main point. Mayweather has more names but Pacquiao's has more quality. Another thing is that I would agree to, on the other hand, is that Floyd in those fights are 8-0 while Manny is 6-1-1.
wow is that all you know that pac has beat? even floyds list is missing some good names. Pac has beaten quality oppenents in the lower weight it seem like people are not aware of the quality fighters, thats making people think mab, eric and jmm are pacs only quality oppenent? those are some of the hall of famers but pac has far more quality oppenent then people know of. I guess cause peole dont follow asia or the lower weight divisions.
in red are added.
C-Lo,
put J.Ts list with mine and its a far better list really.
