Train very low reps and very high reps no in between. For example at most 5 reps (no more) and more than 25. Reps in between that range increase hypertrophy. One time someone told me that my reps were in that range and I'd gain weight. I switched to the rep range I mentioned and lost 5lbs in two weeks without eating less. Eating less though will help you even better. Muscular hypertrophy relies on eating. If you eat less you will be just as strong but with less bulk. Also stress conditioning more so. Don't drop or even hold back weight training unless absolutely necessary. You should be able to lose the necessary weight with the above methods.
