I was complaining; but fukk it if Cotto isn't bothered with it then who am I to complain? I just want to see it. This board will be fun in the buildup

Where's Bilbo to give his self-aggrandizing speech
He's busy declaring Khan can beat Marquez & Mayweather within a year

Oh brother Well I doubt he'll miss the opportunity to come in and stomp his furry feet in this thread.

What, hes sending his silk adorned emissaries now lol.Think Arum will kiss his ring when he receives him

I think Manny will cause many cuts.I just dont like Cottos bad habit of backing to the ropes.Enough math tutorials and calculating fractions.Just box.Going with Pacquiao.

Great news may the best man win, not rooting for anyone here.

I do not like when Cotto goes against the ropes either, but it only happens against physically big welterweights who pressure Cotto (Mosley, Plasterito,Clottey). Manny is not as big as those three and isn't a "pressure" fighter. This is the main reason why I give Cotto the edge. In my opinion, it could get ugly for Manny.

I agree with this. I don't think Cotto is going to sit on the ropes cause that's exactly where Pac would want him to be. I see Cotto imposing his strength and try to back Manny up. But I also wouldn't be surprised to see him box like he did against Mosley. Cotto has more than one trick up his sleeve which makes it difficult for me as a Pacquiao fan.

This is going to be a good one!

yea, how some people are trying to compare it to the Hatton fight is ridiculous, i think it's going to be a good tough fight for BOTH fighters

I'm sure there's still a hiccup or two coming in the promotion. Just because Michael Koncz or whoever is flying over that doesn't tell me the fight is definitely getting signed. It was supposedly as good as signed about 3 weeks ago then it all went back & forth again. Once I see them standing together I'll believe it.

Obviously I'll be rooting for my hometown boy, Cotto. But much respect to Pacquaio for agreeing to 145, which shouldn't be much of a stretch for Cotto.

I think Cotto will win, if only for his warrior mentality and his resourcefulness. AND... he's got the boxing skills and power to go along with it.

HOWEVER (there's always a catch)... Cotto needs to show the speed he showed against Mosley, and also needs to make sure he brings his "A-game" defense to the fight. Finally, I hope his cut heals well, 'cause its sure to be tested against Manny. Either way... it should be a hell of a fight. Can't wait!!
