First off, its a meaningful fight for Roy Jones against a legitimate world class opponent. Green is hard hitting, has a great chin and is a serious test for Jones, but he's not quite at the level of Calzaghe, Pavlik, Dawson, Taylor etc.

I think this is a 50/50 fight, Green can be gunshy against top fighters but when he opens up he can really bang and he's never been stopped or to my knowledge knocked down.

I'd love to see this fight, it will be huge in Australia and a great matchup imo, it's a really difficult fight to call. Jones can definitely outbox Green, but Green could take Jones head clean off, and unlike Lacy and Sheika, he isn't shot, but a fighter probably only slightly past his best, still very very dangerous.

    Can't wait for this one.

I haven't watched Danny Green's fights at all but I hope he is up for "Body-head" banger Roy Jones .. he will definitely put on a show he is not showboat shy but also talks with his gloves with a gut. whoever is airing this fight is in for a massive spectacle. Im Roy Jones Jr fan I would like to see this fight go his way so that the future can be set and open for him to hang the gloves

Well he's won one legit world title (WBA), should have won two when Beyer robbed him and he's won a couple IBO world titles.

If you have won a world title then by definition you must be world class, i.e he mixes with world class opposition.

He's not an elite fighter, and he's certainly not p4p but he's world class for sure, how could you be a world champ and not?
Great way to sum it up and explain the difference between

    World Class and Elite.......

I think it's more 90/10 Jones. I do give Green a punchers chance

Someones gotta put up a poll closer to the fight, I think it may be only Bilbo & myself that are giving Green much of a chance, it may be old age creeping in & I'm slowing losing my mind but I think Danny is a very live dog in this one... he will definitely be effective than lame Lacy!

Roy Jones jr should beat Danny Green comfortably, Green is a good fighter but often lacks a plan B as was the case in the 2nd Beyer fight and in his loss to Mundine. He was outboxed by both fighters in those losses and failed to come up with anything at all to prevent the inevitable by mid fight.
He can punch real hard and that is a big plus in this fight as Jones jr does not want to feel the power of Green, i think Green has the hardest straight jab in boxing. Jones is to talented to lose this one though.

Great performance by Green last night. I fucking told you all he was world class and that he was a dangerous opponent for Jones to take.

Props to galaxy for being the only other person pretty much to see that Roy Jones was in deep for this fight.

And guys you should listen to me more, all the bandwagon jumpers who leap onto overratted guys like Bute, Donaire, Mijares etc and then completely dismiss tough guys like Green and Kelly Pavlik, you need to listen to ol'Bilbo.

Green is now very much a part of light heavyweight, maybe even cruiserweight scene and he will prove himself to be a very acomplished performer indeed. He has real power, a solid chin and is a solid pro who just gets on with the job.

He's trouble for anybody, as I said at the start of this thread all those months ago.
