Way to sound like you can't read. I said Kirkland should be in trouble and shouldn't be allowed to have a gun, I simply said I understand why he would want one. I think arbitrarily throwing pedophiles into the conversation for no reason is retarded because it has nothing to do with anything previously written. I know you were just throwing out other examples, your examples were just bad though, like Teddy Atlas analogies. How is letting someone who gets a felony, for a non violent offense, regain their gun rights in any way parallel to letting a pedophile babysit your kids? You came up with two bad examples and now refuse to argue how they are related to felons and gun laws. The thing that really bothered me about the thread and made me want to reply was it was the second time in the past week or two that Daxx claimed people were trying to act like thugs, Cloud first, now Kirkland, without reason. I just got off topic a bit talking about how the law works, and then it got your panties in a bunch for whatever reason. Sorry I went a bit off topic with my posts, it is a boxing forum and I went away from that part of the topic. That though is all I think was wrong with my posts.

Acting like a thug without reason!?!?! give me a break. A man is charged and arrested for armed robbery and then goes and tries to get a gun again. That is acting like a thug, trying to act hard. If he wanted to "protect" himself, you move away from trouble. I know a lot of communities he could have moved to and been away from trouble. Going and buying a gun is STUPID end of story. He had a lot of people to turn to if he wanted to change his life around and fucked it up. No one's fault but his own, he was given a second chance and blew it.

So we can agree that Kirkland fucked up? Buying a gun was stupid, but you can understand the psychology of wanting one if you had been robbed at gunpoint right? It's a really bad decision and is nobodies fault except his, I never argued it wasn't did I? Buying a gun is not an action that makes some one a thug, in this case it just makes him stupid. The only place our opinions differed, or maybe not even, is because I said not all felons should lose gun rights, only ones that involve violence or the threat of violence. I really don't see why you are trying to argue something that I already said I agreed with long ago, that Kirkland fucked up. Maybe you don't believe that someone who was robbed at gunpoint may want to own a gun? I never said it was a good idea, just what might his reasoning for a really bad choice.
