I would take VD's comments with a pinch of salt TBH.
Don't you live in Korea or something? How can you know what Hatton's US following is? You can't. Why? Cuz he really doesn't have one

Actualy most of the Americans I spoke to while in America wanted Hatton to beat Floyd.
An American bloke came up to me in Chicago airport to say he wanted Hatton to beat Floyd.
Almost all the Americans in Vegas wanted Hatton to beat Floyd.

This includes black Americans which supprised me a bit.

My point is that Americans like Hatton more than they like Floyd.
So because you spoke to a handful of people that said they wanted Hatton to win than that pretty much means the whole US feels the same way, right? Yeah ok. Take it from someone that actually lives in the US. Americans do indeed like Hatton. But that's cuz he gets knocked out in spectacular fashion. Put it this way. If Hatton didn't have his fellow countrymen fly in to watch him fight in the US than all his fights would be in front of like 1,000 people or so. He wouldn't fill half the arena much less sell out
