i agree mate. yeah hopkins is getting old, but ive rit him off so many times before and he just keeps ramming that shit straight back down my throat. hopkins is a genius at work. hes the best at breaking down a fighter bit by bit, and then implementing his gameplan on his opponent. logic says haye is a fight too far, i just think hopkins experience could beat haye. im not saying for sure i think that will happen, but the guy is a mutherfukkin genius
As per my promise I have no comment on the subject at this time
Bernard Hopkins could give SOME heavyweights some trouble because he boxes well and he has experience and old fighters can be very tricky. I'd fancy Hopkins' chances vs Arreola just because Cris likes to slug when he has the ABILITY to be a good boxer and Cris is never in shape.
Hopkins is EASILY busy enough for David Haye. He lost a close, even controversial decision to one of the busiest fighters in boxing in Joe Calzaghe, David Haye has throughout his career been accused of not fighting hard enough and lazing through rounds.
Haye is not a busy fighter. He has no jab. He just comes in with power shots. He also doesn't impose his size and has no real authority in the ring for someone so supposedly hard hitting. He would stand on the outside and box with Hopkins and Hopkins provided be could cope with the power, which I think he could would still even now be able to outbox him imo.
I wouldn't be suprised if he stopped Haye in the late rounds.
