Oh so just because Roach trains Pac and Khan I'm instantly a Amir Khan fan now? You added 2 and 2 you came up with 22? Lol. I only said it was an impressive win by Khan, and he deserves some credit for it. This aint even a Pac thread and you brought up his name.
The Khan hate is unreal. He wins in 76 seconds and people just rubbish it and say forget that win.

When he beats Juan Manuel Marquez towards the end of next year they will rubbish that too claiming he was clearly past it after losing to Floyd and Amir got him at the right time.

I will of course put up my thread from six months ago when I pointed out this would happen 18 months before and I predicted exactly how the haters would respond even though they rubbished my claims at the time.

But it is as it is, Khan is truly world class. Yes his chin is suspect, but in every other aspect he's as talented as anyone out there and has the potential to beat anyone from 135-140 and and will in time fill out to welterweight too.

what you mean the still in his prime 37 year old Marquez?

Bilbo you just make yourself sound stupid with this bollocks.

People were rubbishing the fight as soon as it got made, just at Kotelnik before him was rusbbished by er Khan before that got signed.

Interesting that we have Saddo records to disprove what you say.

Here's the Saddo preview poll to the Khan Barrera fight.

The result 23 went for Khan, a clear majority of 38, (including you ) went for Barrera

Rather than rubbishing the fight, in fact you were mostly rubbishing Khan's chances.

Check for yourself, before the event two thirds of you thought Barrera would beat Khan, after the event it was a self evidently obvious that Khan was in for an easy night against a shot opponent

Disprove what you idiot - you've just said Barrera was only 12months on from a couple of good showings then you knew all along Barrera was shot? I'll rubbish Khan every day I've got if I feel like it especially when you post crap. He's still chinny, he's still protected, dress it up as much as you like Bilbo.

How many people factored in that Barrera had to fight wearing a blindfold and he still managed to wobble Khan with a glancing blow for christsake.

You think Marquez at 37, which would be your suggested time frame, is the same fighter who fought Pacquiao?

No absolutely not, which is exactly why I said 6 months ago (and was laughed at by the entire forum) that by the end of 2010 Khan would be primed to beat him if they fought.

I've never said Khan is as good as Marquez, but by the end of 2010 he will have improved enough and Marquez will have declined enough for Khan to have the upper hand.

Give it another year and if Khan and Marquez fight I favour Amir.

Your hating is really weird. You distort what other people say and don't even read what is being said.

I don't think Amir Khan is on the level of Marquez, Pacquiao or a prime Barrera, but he's hands down one of the hottest 22 year old talents in boxing and has acomplished more for his age than any other fighter I can think of.

For such a protected fighter what other 22 year old currently fighting has acomplished more?

My hating is weird and I distort what you say Kinda rich from a bible thumper.

How is chasing those big names a help to him? When every man and his dog knows they've slipped? Why not face other current contenders? That would be worth more in terms of boxing kudos....unless your aim is to make as much money in the shortest space of time with the least amount of risk....you get 0 respect from me.

So now you wouldn't even be impressed if he went after Marquez in 2010?

    You're insane

Khan is 22, just 22 for gawds sake, and he's already beaten Barrera and won a world title.

NOBODY else in the WORLD at his age has a better name on their record than Barrera.

Joe Calzaghe, Ricky Hatton and Lennox Lewis are our greatest fighters of modern times. Their best wins were all against greats on the slide. Hatton beat Kosta Tszyu at the end of his career, coming off a year layoff, Calzaghe beat a 40 something year old Hopkins and a badly faded Jones Jr, and Lennox beat a shot Mike Tyson and a battleworn Evander Holyfield.

And they all beat these guys towards the end of their careers, or in Hattons case his late prime, as kind of crowning acomplishments.

Yet if Khan, who has already beaten Barrera, was then to face another Mexican legend at just age 23 it wouldn't impress you because Marquez would be a year or so past his past.

You're hating has made you delusional.

Yeah moaning at a 22 year old for not fighting world class prime fighters is a bit bizarre. I can't think of many who have.
