I don't peacock (is that even how you express it?), but say go for it, Bilbo! Get your bracelets on, but hold back on the cherry lipstick unless you are going for some self cutting emo types. I have been asked if I am gay when I sport nothing but a short back and sides and regular casual clothing. No chance I am going to start wearing bracelets and looking like a proper old dandy.

A couple years ago I grew my hair quite long and had had it highlighted. Most mates when they saw me all said the same thing 'Haha fucking hell what have you done to you barnet!!!

But I got approached by a lot more girls when I was out.

The two times in my life when I've been consistenly approached by girls is when I had a shaven head and when I looked like Sacha Cohen's 'Bruno' creation.

I was thinking about this the other day and paying attention to people while around town...

I know the theory of how wearing these type of jewelery type things makes you look like a sexually active person.. But I think it's more to do with that "tribe" thing, like, goth, emo, punk, preppy, etc etc.... Like, we I live in a small town where the main kind of tribe is punky rock sort of thing... Outside my town where their are a lot of ethnic people, rap and bling is really cool.... But in my town, chains, dark leather jewellery, lots of surf type jewellery, dark jeans, studded belts, tightish black shirts...
Anyway I forgot my point now....
Ummm, f'ck... I think what I was saying is I think that wearing that type of stuff is more to show that you are part of the "in" crowd... Like, you wouldn't dress like that unless you had FRIENDS who dress like that... It shows you are a part of a crew, and perhaps partly a leader of it... If you dress real plain, then your a part of the plain crowd..... If you go to the effort of putting cool shit on, then girls automatically asumed you are regularly hanging out with cool people....

I guess it all says the same thing, that you have value.... More value than the guy next to you who isn't wearing anything cool... And if you think about younger people, or rock bands or anything, the people who most exaggerate the look, tend to be the leaders or the people with most value...

Yep I agree, I think fooling girls into thinking I belong to a cool tribe is definitely preferable to the reality of me spending most of my waking hours in solitary confinement, wanking myself to death in a basement.

Yep so pick the coolest tribe around and copy the shit out of it..... Something about that seems slightly fake, but f'ck it... If it gets you laid...

After that encounter at my work the other day, i've been really thinking about making myself look better at work... It's shirt, slacks and tie there, so there isn't a HUGE amount of room for creativity... But then again, there is.. Currently i'm wearing $10 shirts from Target and $30 slacks.. My shoes were almost falling apart..

In the last 2 weeks i've gone and got new shoes, one ne pair of slacks which are slightly better than my previous, threw out 2 shirts which were to big for me and made me look like a clown (they'd been a staple for years)... It's also really cold at the moment so instead of wearing a ratty jacket, I bought a cool V neck sweater to go over my shirt and tie, and put a vest on layby which looks a bit like the burberry pattern....

The customers service down stairs is about 88% chicks who are seriously hot, 8% doable, 4% f'n ugly.... I've given up on outside of work... But I want to be the coolest dressed person at my entire work.. Which really, is f'n impossible to do.. I'm probably the most alternative lifestyle person out of everyone, but I dress the cheapest and crappest and most cookie cutter lame..... I can do MUCHHHHHH better with a bit of thought and can actually end up being the best dressed pretty easy...

Only just started working on it though, but now i'm focusing on it...

Just I don't want to be the best "corporate" dressed... the managers and sales reps easily have me beat with that and always will as they can afford the best tailored brand name suits...

I need to add some unique style to it... It's hard though...

I've been using the following sites for inspiration.

health, sex and relationships, nutrition, weight loss, style and male grooming, :: Mens Health Very good forum

The Art of Manliness | Men's Interests and Lifestyle Some great articles on tons of stuff

Valet. - Men's Fashion, Men's Style, Men's Grooming & The Handbook: Men's How to Guides Some good How To Guides and seasonal what to wear guides

Individualism - Men's Style, Fashion, Image and streetwear blog. A British site that looks pretty cool, not had time to really check it out yet.

I also checked out this site Flirting Tips and How to Talk to Girls This site had the bracelet article. I also friended the site author on facebook and he sent me a 1 hour podcast on how to pick up girls on facebook that was full of some simple and commonsense, but nonetheless very sound advice.

It's funny I know a lad who is famed for his ability to pull good looking girls. After listening to the podcast I decided to browse his profile to see if he followed the ideas and advice. His profile was a 101 checklist of all the steps!

Pics of him with plenty of hot girls, Check
Pics of him in exotic locations, Check
Pics of him swimming with dolphins Check

After browsing for a few minutes I fancied him, he just looked such a fun guy!
