Ricky Hatton is a dick IMHO anyone who spends £40 to shove that shit up your nose is a fucking loser... no offence to the people on here who do.. but you are
I agree...Though I have to say it does not shock me so much because it has become such a habit with these guys I mean not to go back too far but lets use Pernell Whitiker as an example...An ATG one of the greatest pure boxers the sport has ever had and he fucked himself up with it...Aaron Pryor...Joe Calzaghe more recently after retirement...Mike Tyson the list goes on and on..

It is a big deal though because of the fact that look what it does to these guys....They are grown men and know what it or is not good for them of course but still sad to see happen.....Be it former world class boxers or the neighboor from down the block I hate to see anyone throw their lives away on GARBAGE!!! It is nothing more then that.....
To be fair, Ricky is doing just as much damage with his drinking and eating habits anyway. Cocaine is illegal, and that's what seperates it from food and drink, but he's been damaging himself for years now.

I'm really not even remotely shocked, nor do i think any different of him. Really wouldn't surprise me if most top level athletes were on it. I reckon it's the norm.

Yeah I said the same thing in my other post that I would not doubt that he was doing it when he fought....You are right it is well known how he abused himself with Drink/Food...Though yes Coke is illegle it does more damage quicker....

Saddo the reason I am not surprised about this is that a lot of boxers have done blow...Saddo, how shocked are you honestly? Everyone knew Ricky was always at the pub, he liked to party....it's just not shocking.

I'm one of the posters that thinks this is no big deal, hell I actually think cocaine itself is no big deal. Everyone I know does it and guess what? Not one of them have lost their jobs, became addicts, turned to crime, killed anyone, had to move onto harder drugs to 'get a better high' or ruined their lives with this so called evil drug.

I'm not in any way advocating cocaine but everyone is always so quick to vilify it, especially those at The News Of The World when they're trying to sell papers.

Ricky Hatton has earned his party time and can do WTF he likes. The only difference between him and the average bloke in the pub is he can actually afford enough coke to become addicted and he ain't gotta get up for work the next day.

Obviously none of us would want that, but in the mean time he can do what he likes imo

I've seen a few people blasting their life away with coke and I know a few that are borderline to get in trouble because of that. Still, I am not really shocked to learn that Ricky is snorting galore, it's a pity, sure, but not a surprise. I only hope that he'll straighten up his life before he causes himself any more harm and I also hope he'll be lucid enough to never step back in the ring. So long Ricky and thanks for all these nice fights and memories.

It all depends on the motive to take it mate imo, like I said in a previous post I have been told he was bang at it as long as six years ago, but if he is now snorting that stuff on a more regular basis and doing alot of it ( we can only speculate ) because of the void the boxing has left or he is depressed and using it as an escape it is very dangerous mate and could lead to a long lonely path and only gets worst, I am with you I know loads of lads who like a few lines on the weekend and live life to the full with no problem, but with his drinking problems I would guess this could be a problem for Ricky.

I think it is a problem with Hatton. I mean just take a look at how he overeats and drinks, so from that one would conclude that he would have no control with coke, since he has no control on the other stuff.

An artificial high is an illusion of happiness that you will have a mighty fall from and the more you do it the more you need it and the more damage it causes to your mind body and spirit. Far better to seek natural highs that are all around you! And no I am not religious!!!

I think this is more or less spot on.
