I would also question when the breaks were called. A lot of them were far too early. Cortez was just far too inconsistent. He took an age to get involved when Khan was twisting Maidana's arms late and yet would jump in just as they were getting close early on. It was strange officiating. Maidana just wanted the chance to get his punches off when in close.
