Haha, brilliant

He's the Middleweight Champ, there's no excuse for this shitty match-up. It was on the basis that Dmitry Pirog only beat a prospect in Danny Jacobs that Maravila's people have ignored him so how can they say Ishida is all good??

There are people saying Martinez is the best fighter in the world, well when was the last time either or the two guys above him fought an opponent on the level of Ishida. I'd say you're looking at Hector Velaszquez & Henry Brusseles, but in both those cases they were mandated to fight them & neither were for world titles.

I get fighting Chavez Jr, he may likely be the mandatory plus there's a ton of money in it, but a voluntary against Ishida is a joke, particularly if Pirog is just jammin' in Russia.

Rant,

Haymon doesn't promote fights, he manages fighters, but his contacts are largely to do with TV companies rather than those in boxing officialdom. I also thought Sergio won the first fight, but it was close & I figured his loss had more to do with the fact Williams was the name at that point than any kind of corruption. I agree on everything else though, a 3rd fight sees Williams get waxed, particularly if he has that idiot Peterson in his corner.
