Yeah you are lucky mate. just dont lump off them when you visit, do the washing up occasionally, shout them all fish and chips one night, that sort of thing, show them you appreciate them allowing you to be there and things will get even better.

I um have a friend yeh who drives 1160 miles round trip within a 24-48 hr span to um see a gal he is fucking nuts for.

Distance, time, money etc etc...even a girls 'guilt' because this friend acts as if its as easy as running right across the street and this friend drives allll that way sometimes not knowing if things will happen in such a short timespan (like her son being rushed in for emergency surgery) and they end up sitting in hospital for 14 hrs .....doesn't matter. Have you ever had Hospital coffee...its fucking awesome. So I've been told.

Can I ask you respectively bud...how old are you? Do it my man.....or wish you had for say 25 yrs. Just sayin

I believe in love, but you're going to hurt yourself if you are not just a slight bit grounded in reality. With the internet, Skype, etc it's easier to stay in contact with one another than it ever has been...but that physical contact, being able to cook dinner for her (or vice versa), or just being there in person is a need that people have and it usually catches up with a relationship.

I say, if you both really want it you can find a way to make it happen. Just know that the odds are against it.

There's a reason most romantics are classified as "hopeless"...its a cruel world for their grandiose ideas

Thats as sound as it gets Lyle.

Also keep in mind bud that as much as you ask the question, so does she. As harsh as it is don't 'protect' each other if having doubts, it crushes those involved much worse in long run. The physical is key, have to have something-time to look forward too. Catch 22...you don't want it to become a second job and work...as opposed to what it should be and needs to be in the first place, easy going, day to day...doin life.

Now Missy don't try to act all tough, I see right through you and I can bet that once you finally meet a proper gentleman and get treated as you should be your guard against the word "love" having meaning for you will melt.

People get hurt in real life and as horrible as it feels #1 The Sun will still rise tomorrow and #2 as bad as being rejected feels once you've found someone that loves you back it trumps any other feeling.

I got accused of wanting perfection in a man - by the same chump who once used the L word and later cheated on his then girlfriend with me. I mean. Really? You have to be fucking kidding me? Men have such short term memories for the shit they do. Women on the otherhand have memories like Big Blue.

Missy I've been hurt just as bad...I understand that its no fun, but you can close your heart off.

Men (and women) are turned off by that kind of baggage...its too much work to fight through a guard like you pretend to have Missy. What that one guy did to you was selfish and wrong, but don't punish the next person that shows interest in you...it doesn't make sense to do that.

All women are prostitutes. That's a 100% fact.

Some are just cheaper than others.

I believed in love when I was 18, young, nieve and a bit stupid.

You grow up, realise a few things about women, most importantly that there are loads of them (and lot's of potential 'the one's) and there is nothing special about any one indivdule woman.

Unfortunately if you go along with this long distance garb, you're riding for a fall.
