There are mass killings every year for people that own guns.

Yup. And for every one there are literally THOUSANDS of meetings among people carrying where there is no violence whatsoever.

Though there hasnt been a mass killing out here since our gun clean up. We all had guns,but there was an amnesty and a time limit to hand them in. Otherwise big fines jail etc.
Now only criminals, police and security have them. Unless you are a licenced hunter or target shooter then the guns are usually single shot in most cases so theres time to get them off of you if you do want to flip out in public .

There has been shoot outs but no mass murders of innocents in the streets like there once were. Our bikers try to rub out other gangs occasionally and the odd person gets caught in between, thats about all.

Glad to hear it. Sadly our most gun strict cities remain our most gun violent areas.

oh we are unarmed public now. the fools bend and melted down all repeaters. And single shots have to be licenced and you have to be a target club member for a pistol.

(Intead of ruining all those great guns: they should of stored them to hand back to us all, if we get invaded by Indonesia's billions).After our first line of defense gives out.

Your guys choice of course, but being subject to the whim of others seems, well, inconsistent with freedom over time in my view

In that context an experienced, and well armed, local militia seems like a good idea.

My biggest fear is that when 'not if ' society breaks down for one reason or another it will be the public who will suffer at the hands of the armed.
