24-year old German amateur star Jack Culcay, world champ 2009, has turned pro and signed a promotional deal with Universum, writes Bild. Culcay, who’s mother is from German and father from Ecuador, will campaign at junior middle.

He´s managed by Moritz Klatten, who previously made a name for himself as as physical trainer for David Haye, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Juan Carlos Gomez.

Gennadyi Golovkin defends the WBO Intercontinental middleweight title against American Ishe Smith November 21 in Kiel making it the fourth 12-rounder on the bill.

ZDF begins the telecast 23.15 with Giacobbe Fragomeni against Zsolt Erdei and will then continue live with Humberto Gutierrez vs Vitali Tajbert. The show begins 18.40. In regards of Golovkin-Smith it´s a good matchup with Golovkin about to take the final steps up to world class.

Sauerland´s club show in Berlin on Friday (November 13) is headlined by middleweight Thomas Troelenberg taking on Marco Schulze in a battle of Berliners. Schulze headlined at his peak a fair share of shows in the suburbs pulling in big crowds, many with very short hair and shoes with steelhats. Troelenberg is promoted by Wiking Box Team.

Danish paper Ekstrabladet writes that WBA super middle champ Mikkel Kessler earns around 1.3 million EUR for each of the first three fights in the Super Six Tournament. The story doesn´t reveal if it´s net or gross – and read my lips: there´s a big difference.

Swedish welter Patrick Bogere have three fights lined up in three weeks. November 14 he fights Marko Nieminen in Helsinki, Finland, November 27 he takes on the ever dangerous tba in Tampere and then December 4 in Aalborg he faces Kenyan Nasser Athumani. Bogere represented Sweden in the 2004 Olympics but then did over three years in jail. A pro since June he´s 3-0 but have yet to show the skills he had back in ’04.

Boxing Kings in Bern, Switzerland tops their annual December 26 show with two EE-EU title fights. At middle Yves Studer defends his belt against Andrey Salakhutdzinau from Belorus.
